Must be a Caribbean thing to remove the eye from the egg. I was taught to do the same in Tobago

Yes, I'm of Jamaican heritage and we remove the "eye" from the egg too.

Yes....definitely remove the eye from the egg. It actually prevents the egg from having a raw taste or smell when cooking. This looks really good Terri!!!😋😋😋

Yes, remove the white or baby chicken from the eggs. My mother taught me this when I was learning to cook. In Jamaica, we were taught that is what makes the egg raw.

We call it the eye here in St. Kitts i wasnt taught to do this but i saw a friend of mine mother do it when i was in high school and i asked her she explained y she did it and when i hot home i told my grandma and she had everyone doing it after that.

My mum told me to take out the eye, as keeping it in would make it taste smell/raw, also especially when baking cakes it should be removed.
