Seems to be a common trope where guys gets mostly the blunt end of the slapstick comedy. Rarely see it for the gals.

I think what makes Bandit so awesome is how balanced he is. He’s shown to really love his kids, but he’s also not afraid to lay down the law when he needs to. He’s not super strict, but he’s not a pushover either. And of course, he’s a relatable goofball at heart

Why feel bad when it’s his choice to commit to the bit?

I'm 25 now and almost forget all the pain I cause my dad till I start watching this show. I remembered I used to tie him to the chair with a rope right under the basketball hoop, blindfolded him, and started throwing the basketball into the hoop so it fell right on him... And this is just one of so many examples of cruel games I made him play with me. yikes... Raising me was such a torment.... Thanks, dad.

I threw a rock on my dads truck 2 months after he got divorced because i wanted to see what would happen i was really young.

The thing people need to keep in mind about slapstick is that it also requires good vocal delivery and bandits VO passes with flying colors. XD

What’s surprising is Dave McCormack wasn’t even a voice actor before, just an Australian rockstar in the band Custard, and for his first role, he’s awesome as it. Only problem is now I can’t not think of bandit when I hear Dave McCormack speaking.

Bandit is seriously the most caring tv father I've ever seen. Involved with his kids and gets right into character when he's playing with them.

I’m am surprised the show writes him so patiently, if I so much as raise my hand to my own father even while playing with him, I’d get a stern corner time out. It’s refreshing to know this show has its many lovely characters.

I like how it's not over the top slapstick, it's realistic pain
