Dr. Liddell is a great story teller with a wealth of knowledge and a JSU legend!..I remember interviewing him for a story on the Boom when I was in the Blue and White Flash. Awesome interview!

Great Job! I luv this interview. Dr. kicked me out the band my senior year, because of things that other percussionist did. I got caught up in rumors. I got the short end of the stick, however I still appreciate Dr. because this transition gave me an opportunity to really focus on education more than ever. This was truly a legendary interview. Thank You Doc.

I just realized that my cousin, George Fisher, played in Doc Liddell's Provine Band, which won the mid-America championship in St. Louis. Steve Herron played solo on "Los Suerte De Los Tontos," and Fisher played the solo in the second song.

@@dopesince1980 Fun fact- my cousin was first chair trumpet in Doc’s Provine band and opted not to play in Da Boom while at J-State because he wanted to focus on his computer studies despite Doc calling George one of his best students. There’s a real possibility that the best trumpet player taking classes at JSU from 1983 - 1987 didn’t play in the band.

A lot of knowledge in his head…

I remember that 82-83 Provine band. Superb
