@@hopsmetalshow3413 have you guys ever heard of a Band called Thunder Mother ? . Its a group of women who I assume all have children and they really rock out. They don't have a lot of songs like BAND MAID but have a listen to ITS JUST A TEASE I think you Will enjoy it.

Kanami (the lead guitarist) writes the music, and Miku (rhythm guitar/backing vocals) writes the lyrics, with the lead singer Saiki contributing more with lyrics lately. Once Kanami has done rough demos of the songs in her home studio she gives them to MISA and Akane work out their own parts.

another masterclass in songcraft! six (all in a 4+ minute song! outrageous!) melody/tempo sections very densely layered with disparate out of the box, classically virtuosic flourishes. goddamn!

Miku said at the Gramercy show this past September they would tour again and start with NYC and move west.

One dislike? Really nice of Taylor Swift to check in. Band-Maid is the very best hard rock band anywhere on the planet today. Deal with it, Taylor.

Ohhh you got to see them live. They are amazing! Definitely one of the best Live Bands I have ever been to 3>

Just MONSTER drumming by Akane! Her nick name is the BEAST! And yea Jimmy Page took a photo with her when her saw her live. By the way, Miku(rhythm guitarist/back up vocals) writes the majority of the lyrics and Kanami (lead guitarist) is the main music writer and arranger. Of course there is also imput by the other members. When a band has this much talent it becomes more of a collaboration.

Basically, the basic composition is made by a lead guitarist, Kanami and then all of them work together to make it better. And final decision is made by a lead vocalist, Saiki. Saiki is the person who came up with bass-guitar battle.

this song has got depth. absolutely one of my favs. the translated lyrics are worth checking out. a bit choked they didn't play it this past US tour. with regards to reaction vs podcast format.. reaction is more like a drip feed, and it's nice to hear someone's impression fresh, right after listening. it's also a good way for newcomers to discover the band. i think a podcast is more suited for listeners who are already on board.. unless you go with a regular format where you notify people ahead of time: 'we're listening and talking about X-band next week', so people can get in on that and then listen to the podcast.. book club style. either way.. if people are properly discussing BAND-MAID, i'm gonna be listening. i gotta make me one of those vests i think it'd be great to see you guys to react to some of the interviews. this is an old one(from around 2016 is my guess) where they get into the the quirks of each member. they're a funny bunch.. it's an entertaining watch: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hGiE0cisgbzdnpc.html Gold Rush 1 kzread.info/dash/bejne/i66Lp7aNpZCamag.html Gold Rush 2

Actually Miku writes the lyrics and Kanami composes the Musical elements. Usually Kanami will write a piece of music and then Miku will add lyrics and they tweak as they need to!! 🤘🤘

MISA MISA MISA! I'm not going to give you my favourite because it's impossible BUT the most played songs live are Freedom, Real Existence and Non Fiction days, they are the only songs they have played live 100 times or more, so they are the songs the band think are popular.

The selfie they took is my screen saver. Jimmy Page saw them perform in Tokyo in 2016 and requested to meet with Akane. The only report of their conversation was Akane saying in a Japan in Motion interview that "Mr. Jimmy Page-san offered me much encouragement. I promised him l would do my best to live up to his words". Do the studio release of Screaming. Akane's double pump bass drum is triple tracked on the studio release. Awesome speed metal.

The obvious request after this is "Secret Maiko Lips", which is the April Fool's Day version of this song, when they announced they were changing their sound and image, to dress like geishas, and use more traditional instruments. In truth the song isn't that different, but it's a very different look. It makes for quite a visually stunning video though. Tell String to hold on to something. You guys are gonna LOVE this one. Already in my top 3 or 4, at least, BAND-MAID songs of all time.

Please speak each syllable in Japanese. It's "Ah Kha Neh". Japanese is spoken in moratime. Each syllable gets same time.

I get to see Japanese bands in London, but I would love to travel and see Band Maid overseas. Band Maid interview on Music Gold Rush parts one and two with English subs is a good place to start. It is four years old at least, but it gives a good background for fans. The Reality TV one was last year and the interviewer asks my question! You do need to go and see them live. Even if you have to trave sone distance.

Saiki rhymes with the shoemaker Nike. Lyrics by Miku and music by Kanami. Mostly. At least since the release of Alone. New album Conqueror out in December. And you will never know this band til you see this band. Sorry. That's just the way it is. Regards from Sacramento.

Dang, I forgot what the question was! LOL. Love that track, especially the vocals, never gets old...on the DVD it's the song that they roll into after Play....awesome stuff... If I remember right out of all the members Akane is the genuine Metalhead....:) Actually an review of an Interview might not be bad, get some more background straight from the source. There's a really good two-parter out there that has English subtitles and some clips from both their Seattle show (first time in US) and I think the first London show... Give it time. It can take a bit of time to get over somebody singing in a different language, but after a while you just stop noticing. If it's more about Saiki not being "metal" enough, that's maybe more of an issue as they aren't a metal band.

..and check AKANE on twitter, where they play SCREAMING blindly, that means they covered their eyes with dust masks.

I would honestly avoid their interviews. To me they take away a lot from their music. Sadly you have to almost be a character to stand out in Japan and it gets really cringe in some interviews. What you should do is check out their april fools prank where they changed name to Band-Maiko and released this song as Secret maiko lips.
