Last year, after almost 3 years of not being able to tour the US, the Ladies were concerned that maybe the fans no longer supported them. Even though they had been told their tour dates were selling out, they didn't believe it. It took the audience response in their first show in Seattle for it to really hit them. One person who was at that show said that the Ladies looked like they had been hit in the face as they walked out on to the stage at the start of the concert. But as they kept going and the fans response from each and every show, Kanami had an idea for a song. And she started writing it on the tour bus after the Los Angeles show. She later sang the melody for Saiki and was told to finish it, and Saiki and Miku then wrote the lyrics. This is a love song to all of their "Masters and Princesses", thanks and love for the support, the energy they receive from us the fans, and thanks for the love we give them. This, the songs Smile, and About US are all meant specifically for us fans. They are conversations with us, to let us know just how much the Ladies care that we care for them. And also how much support we give them and how they depend on us. The Ladies finished up this song and performed it live for the first time at their Tokyo Gardens Theater concert on January 9th of this year. Then the Ladies came BACK to the US to open 3 concerts, 2 in New York and 1 in Los Angeles for "The Last Rock Stars" a Japanese super-group. While in Los Angeles they recorded the outside portions of this video, The live portions were from the Jan 9th concert. The only thing is there was a piano intro in the concert that many who saw the stream would prefer was also with the song, but it's a small quibble. And I highly enjoyed it, and you take care, I hope your essays and stuff go well.

Memorable was amazing when Band-Maid played it last night in Charlotte. I know that word is thrown around a lot, but it was. It was amazing to the tenth power. So beautiful, so powerful as Saiki sang about Band-Maid's appreciation for their fans. Then someone started chopping onions behind me...

I recommend two female bands from Japan. ◉ Gacharic Spin “MindSet” and ◉ [Hanarei. ]-Ga-Amato- (WE LOVE SWEETS) Music Video【HANABIE.】(add:English Lyrics)

I understand more and more why they are such a great band. It's not so much they shred notes but they have such a unity of purpose. Their "usual" style is much heavier and rockier than this but they can do R&B when they want. Saiki can sing "I hate you I hate you I hate you" with alarming passion or she can lovingly caress your scalp and tells you she wants to spend the night with you. Akane can go absolutely ape when she needs to or she can gently rock you to sleep. Misa can pound you in the gut when she needs to but she can also groove with softness. All of them can, and they do it together. They are so polished. Here, they are writing a love song that hides a message of appreciation to their fans. There's a documentary that could be bought with the January 9th concert video of the Tokyo Garden Theater okyu-ji. It shows that Kanami started writing this during their October tour of the United States. They wrote the whole thing between the middle of October and the first of January for the Tokyo Garden Theater serving where they debuted it. It had a very very nice piano introduction and it is the source of live sequences. Kanami gets grief sometimes for the brevity of her solos but there's symmetry to them. In this one the verse/chorus verse/chorus take a certain amount of time so the solo needs to take a certain amount of time. And it does; you're ready for the last chorus even though you're not aware of it. It's just the right moment. We take a breath, and it's time to move on.

Thank you for the information and yes you are right and it's what i was saying as well that they know how to structure a song so the solo doesn't have the typical role of being crazy for a long period of time(a climax or continuation of a climax) but it serves to keep that balance and anticipation running😁🥰

Good to see you back in action! Good luck with your essays! Don't know if you knew this or not, but this song was written by Band Maid to express how they felt about last year's US tour. Mincho actually started writing it while still on tour. It is a love song to the fans for how we made them feel last tour. After 3 years apart, We were back together again! ❤ Many of us tear up listening to this beautiful song. 🥲 Thanks again for your fun and informative reactions! 😃👍🕊
