The video was shot on Super 8 film to reproduce the feel of the movie "Rinne" that the song is based on. The sprocket hole, which would not be visible in actual 8mm or Super 8 film was put in in post production to emphasize that it is an old grainy faded reel of film poorly projected.

I think the idea for the MV is it was filmed like an old Japanese Horror. An idea by Saiki I think. One of my favourite Band Maid songs. Love the album Conqueror and play constantly on CD. A real classic rock song.

If Band-Maid isn't ripping your face off (Rinne, No God, Black Hole), they're soothing your soul (Manners, Daydreaming, Memorable). Their music does what great music is supposed to do... move you, if only for a moment, into another realm. What more could you ask for from a Band of incredible Maids?! Thank you, Sofi, for bringing your new viewers into the Band-Maid experience.

Great reaction. This is one of the more interesting videos that they produced. It was based on an old movie about a serial killer who filmed his victims at their time of death to see if he could capture the soul leaving the body. He used 38 mm cameras. It was Saiki's idea to film using 38mm film to recreate the feeling of the original film (murder site was an abandoned warehouse). She's apparently a horror film buff.

Sofi, that was a pretty cool reaction to "Rinne". The story behind the video is that the band was trying to convey the images of a serial killer who viewed his victims through an 8mm film camera. I don't completely understand why they did that, but the images are stark. Nevertheless Band=Maid rocks another one. This video shows the edgy, bad-assed side of their hard rock image.

I think the grainy film aesthetic was based on Saiki's favourite horror movie. What's wrong with a little "Band Maid the Horror Movie"? You know they would kill it (pun intended).

Hi Sofi, you know what Band-Maid always have 2 songs that come in PAIR, so if you listen to RINNE than you also need to listen to the Other(START OVER-MV). I do have mixed feeling of asking you to check it out, because you’ll definitely hear sth unexpected from this song😢. ( Story behind these songs, I believe some will fill you for it😅). このバンドの音楽を何の知識もなく突然に聞いた時、多くの人は衝撃を受けます。 特にフェスティバル等で生演奏を突然に聞いた時の衝撃は決して小さいとは言えません。 その衝撃があまりにも大きいが為にライブ演奏の会場で呆然と金縛りにあったように立ち竦む。 実際に私はそれを体験し、目の前で言葉を失い金縛りにあったようにピクリとも動けない状況に陥った人を何人も見てきました。 彼女達は正真正銘のライブバンドです。 信じられないかもしれませんが、スタジオ録音よりもライブ演奏の方が遥かに素晴らしく、ライブでの演奏をより良くする為に曲の改訂や時には歌詞すら改訂する事すら躊躇しません。 この録音も素晴らしいですが、これ以上に素晴らしい演奏をライブで聞いた経験のある私には是非とも実際に生演奏を体験される事を勧めます。

Many people are shocked when they suddenly hear this band's music without any knowledge of it. The shock of suddenly hearing a live performance, especially at a festival, is never small. The shock is so great that you cower in a daze at the venue of the live performance, as if you were in bondage. I have actually experienced this and seen many people who were speechless and unable to move in front of me, as if they were in bondage. They are a genuine live band. Believe it or not, their live performances are far better than their studio recordings, and they don't hesitate to revise songs and sometimes even lyrics to improve their live performances. This recording is excellent, but having heard better performances live than this, I would highly recommend experiencing them live in person.

Thank you for your reaction. No spoilers but in a certain anime Rinne is actually an entity which makes me question the translation somewhat. Maybe the word got several meanings. Anyway, it is s great song. Have fun! :)

I love this song so much, also I'm a big Kenshi fan. His voice is absolutely phenomenal. I actually watched The boy and the Heron in cinema, it was soo good
