The instrumental is good because you can hear all the craziness that Kanami is doing, but I love the vocals in this song. So frenetic, but somehow still catchy. Beautiful harmonies, and vocal choices by Saiki and Miku. As always, Misa and Akane are in this song.

"Night on the Galactic Railroad" is a fairy tale work by Kenji Miyazawa. The story of a lonely boy Giovanni traveling with his friend Kampanella on the Galactic Railroad, which is considered to be one of the masterpieces of Kenji Miyazawa's fairy tales. The story repeats life and death, looking for the meaning of life. Kobato Miku is inspired by this story and writes the lyrics. There is a famous animation with a cat as the main character.

Thanks for sharing that. The lyrics are suddenly more relatable. I will look up that story, sounds rather interesting. Since I've discovered Band-Maid, my interest and knowledge of Japan has been expanding. Some of the animated works are pretty incredible. Last spring my niece was visiting for a week or so. I was working out in my shed, had Band-Maid playing, and she came in to let me know it was almost dinner time. She noticed the music and stopped to listen. After 10-15 seconds her face lit up and she excitedly proclaimed, "That's Japanese! They're singing in Japanese! Do you like Japanese stuff?" She didn't know the band, so I pulled up some YewToob and introduced her to Band-Maid. At dinner her and I pretty much had our own conversation. We were in our own little world while the rest of the family talked amongst themselves. While she was in college, she was introduced to anime, graphic novels, and such. So she's been educating me on the subject. When she got back home she boxed up and sent me about 20 different animes on DVD. I wasn't all that impressed with some of the stories. However, I was impressed with the style and quality of the art and animation. We've since worked out what I do and don't like, and every few weeks we send DVDs back and forth. About 2 weeks ago she gifted me with a nine disc collection of Studio Ghibli movies. I had no idea stuff like that existed. Wow! Some of these movies subjects get pretty deep. I've actually done a few hours worth of on line research about anime and manga, and the culture of it all. I've made it to the fourth disc of the Ghibli collection. I've got to admit, a few of the movies left me stunned by the depth of the story and how powerfully they were told with animation. Since this panda mix showed up, I've been doing a lot of reading. I've been out of work for 18 months, thanks to these pandas, so yeah, I've had little extra reading time. The Good Will store has thousands of cheap used books. I found a couple "Learn Japanese" and said, why not. I've actually managed to pick up little bits. I can recognize a few kanji and some of the very common words that would be on signs and the like. I can distinguish the men's room from the ladies and recognize a few names, some common street signs and warnings. It's actually been a welcome diversion. I will never be fluent in the language but this old dog still enjoys learning new tricks.

I remember when this album came out and all we'd heard of it was Manners, After Life and Warning, thinking it was gonna be a great album based off those. Turned out those are almost the weakest songs on the friggin' thing. Also, absolute respect for Miku. Miku actually has a little background in music but no instruments. She has experience as an idol, she went to tons of voice lessons, and voice lessons in Japan include a bit of music theory cuz they have to harmonize accurately with the music they sing to, plus dancing, which improves her rhythmic ability. In addition, her taste in music is quite varied, including the eclectic super band Tokyo Jihen, and Shiina Ringo, who writes ALL kinds of genre songs. Kanami as her guitar teacher helps a lot, since Kanami's mind works differently and thinks outside the box. I'm sure the other members also teaches her something also in their own way.

It's very humbling, to see how good Miku's become on the guitar. I've come to the conclusion that, I personally, am not able to choose a favorite among these 5 ladies. Everytime I think I've got it figured out, a new song causes me to reconsider. Each and every one of these girls are undisputedly geniuses and masters on some level. Miku is still growing her guitar skills, and I'm really enjoying getting to watch her growth. All of this is in addition to her powerful vocal work. Of course, we cannot forget her lyric writing abilities either. Kanami, what can I say? Her guitar work is nothing shy of stellar. Her writing and composition are master class. And she continues to advance all three of these skills. I don't know what level/title comes after "Master" but it seems she's determined to achieve it. Maybe, "Divine", "Goddess", I don't know what to call it, but clearly, she's already headed there. Mesa, our barefooted slayer. Her ability to move from rock solid foundation, to melodic fills, to playing lockstep parody with Kanami and Akane, often at the same time, is dazzling. The fact that she can, and does so regularly, all while in support of, not competition with, the rest of the band, demonstrates her worthiness of the title "Master". For those who need more convincing though, just wait for it. Watch out when she steps out of the shadows for a little solo work. When she switches into lead bassist mode, she'll practically rip your face off. Her leads are quite literally, 'stunning'. Her technique of rapidly moving, seamlessly from picking to slapping and back, is a genuinely unique ability, and I never get tired of watching and listening to her do it. Akane, the gorilla we all love. Drummers drive the band. They control and carry the band along. This is usually done with a strong beat and a solid, steady tempo. She does most of this to perfection. However, she revels in regularly straying from that solid, steady tempo thing. Make no mistake though, this is in no way a deficiency on her part. She plays with time signatures, as easily as a young school girl plays hopscotch. Bouncing between them, back and forth, with apparent ease, but the timing of her rhythm never changes. In fact, it is rumored that the department of national standards calibrates the atomic clock to her. Then there's the matter of her power, at times blurring the line between powerful percussion and seismic event. Finally, we have the always elegant Sakai. The voice and face of the band on stage. How far she has come. In the beginning, it seemed that she was hanging onto her mic stand for dear life. That's not the case anymore though. She is now a force to be reckoned with. With her strong voice, impressive range, and expressive face, her stage presence now is confident and commanding. Her interaction with and command of the audience is something to see. Watching their live performances, it is often difficult, if not impossible, to determine who is having more fun. The audience, or the five ladies on stage.

Band-Maid gets better every year but with this song they've set themselves quite a challenge, trying to improve from *this*. If anyone can do it, though, it's Band-Maid.

That Zemaitis might be easier to get wwwww. It's not a Flappy Pigeon but it's an A24MF with a "Aces and 8's" top/front. The A24MF is the base platform of the Flappy Pigeon. I am not quite sure but I think the Flappy and this Aces & 8's have similar hardware, both have Dragon Classic PUPs. You can actually find Aces & 8's for around $2,000. Wave, this might be the Zemaitis for you WWW

I don't think that Kanami's guitar was the under $1000 one you checked. I beleive the PRS custom green fade is about $4000(+ -) . There is a USA and Korea version of the custom. I could be wrong.
