The problem with this assessment is that if you are fairly knowledgable on the subject you would do well, but the reverse is true as well. There should atleast be a choice for the individuals taking the test, as after all, the test is assessing your level of english writing and not your knowledge on vegans and what not.

Hmm I don't think so? The word isn't incorrect but ig we don't use it for people in general. So like vocabulary appropriate in the given context will help achieve a higher score.
