For two weeks before my test I studied by watching Saskia's videos... I just got my result and I got 8.5 for speaking 😭 a huge improvement from my then-score which was 7.5... thank you Saskia and Chris! This channel has been really helpful!

it is her mother tongue. She is having a name which is out of sri lanka. Saskia is definately not a name from Sri Lanka. If she is, then she has parents who can speak very fluent english or one of her parents is a foreign white guy. This is bvulls hitt to call her sri lankan

Eh idk about Sri Lanka but i'm from India and almost everyone I know could pass this test. We grow up learning everything in English from the age of 3. I think in my head in English sometimes. If you grow up in a city especially there is no excuse.

Chris you are doing a great job by breaking down every precious part of her answers and describing it.

My guess is she is from English language background which means her schooling is from Eng medium. And the fact that she is living in Britain since couple of years, gives her an edge to the over all understanding of the language.

@@dhavalp5285 agree. English background for sure, in a private school considering her parents are affluent. Plus having lived in an English speaking country, likely Britain or Australia. Nevertheless it's impressive to see her so confident and deliver such a great performance in ten min.

At a certain point, I forgot that she was taking part in an exam. I subconsciously tuned in to the content of the answers, and her response for the last question was quite deep and thoughtful; it hit differently than the rest. She seems like such an authentic and kind soul.

I can imagine people will have a difficult time to end conversation with Saskia...she can make you want to keep talking to her....her sound of English is not pretentious at all, she just being herself despite having such an eloquency in a foreign language..I think someone with such a personality as Saskia would have a lot of things going on her life... I'm not trying to exaggerate things though, that's how I really feel when listening to Saskia..😍

Wow absolute confidence is inspiring. And use of wide variety of vocabulary yet natural and not too much . Especially "Learned scholar" pronunciation is a learning for me like if learned is used as verb how you say it and if its an adjective how you say it.
