Capital Development Authority - Rajuk has planned to widen Hatirjheel waterway keeping in mind the demand of passengers and alternative transport system. In the meantime, discussions have been held with the Ministry of Housing and Public Works. The authorities plan to start work on the project soon. Rajuk hopes that this will reduce the pressure on several important roads of the capital.
