Clearing a not very small invasive patch of this rhizomatic stuff to ensure it never grows back has been a humbling experience. Weeks of fighting, swinging, pulling, lifting, bending, breaking my back, in this summer heat, still not even half way done.

Fantastic job! Would love to know how much this cost. How sure were you that all the roots were removed?

I second that statement, and I'm only dealing with a 20' wide ×40' long patch of it, but it's becoming quite the adversary and trying to overtake my lawn

Good clearance job guys, but wouldn't you have been able to sell the canes rather than munch them up? or is that too much hassle ? Th property owner must have been pleased with the result, their property has just expanded.

Are you removing the rhizomes?

Could a mini excavator remove the roots? I have old thick bamboo. I cut it down but roots are crazy. Was thinking about renting one.

That is a really nice way but do you really think that everyone has access to a forestry mulcher ...would have been nice to have an idea that everyone could use.
