    Thanks! I think today we only had about 3mph of wind, which I think is very important to know that this thing floats! What I meant by “a lot of wind” was the force of wind off of the props hitting those landing gear decorations, which I believe is why they fell off. I’d really love to know if others experience this too, and if not what they use to adhere them to the airplane! I’ll likely just leave them off anyways. 💯⚓️

    Well I just bought the FMS 2000 BeaverV2. Same wingspan, all components, included, motor, esc servos installed (no receiver) and with twobrosrc discount code,10% off. total $400. Free shipping and they didn't charge tax. So half the price of the HH Timber SWS. It is a foamy, but full windows in cockpit, and for just $100 extra you can buy a set of floats.

  • @scott2052

    @scott2052

    So lower grade electronics and airframe. Apples vs Oranges. The receiver for SWS by itself is over $100. Just like buying a car, some brands are more expensive not because they’re overpriced but because you’re getting more for what you pay for. Sometimes it’s worth it and sometimes it’s not.

    Nice video guys and a very beautifull plane :-) I have the Turbo Timber Evo and the UMX Turbo Timber, so i am already a Timber fan. Maybe something to consider for the future. Regarding your take off and trimming of the ailerons, i thought i saw on take off that they were not really flush with the wings to begin with. But maybe i am mistaking because difficult to see these details in a take off video.

    I was sure when seeing you taxi out with a visible aileron differential that something worse was going to happen. Glad it didn’t! Mechanically centering control surfaces is an important part of the build or the assembly (if already prebuilt), keeping an eye of course on whether there’s recommendations for elevator reflex etc. in the manual. A tip: CA applied onto a painted surface that is properly prepared (i.e. lightly abraded) will provide an effective bond. Hot glue does worst in the cold since it has a volumetric delta that is far larger than if it is used on sunny days or at/near room temperature. Lastly, lol, thank you for the Sensual Nate noises. I don’t think there have been so many in a single video before. 😊

    Try and get a simulator package to first learn on. It will save you tons of money in the start up "crash" phase. Once you have your dumb thumbs trained, buy yourself an Apprentice. Either the big one or the one just below it. Both are wonderful high wing trainers that will let you buddy cord with friends and are forgiving in flight. Find a local club if you can and meet some of the experienced guys who can help you. Two things to remember - Those propellers will take your fingers off PERMANENTLY and always treat your LiPo batteries as if they were small hand grenades - why ? because they can be if not properly cared for. It's a great hobby but you have to realize the dangers as well. Good Luck

    Beautiful aircraft, awesome review, and great camera work. Nate those wheel pants would probably stay on if you epoxy them on. The price point on this plane is probably higher then what most pilots are willing to spend, balsa wood is not cheap anymore and these planes are assembled by hand even though the assemblers are paid an extremely low wage. I will no longer order anything from Horizon Hobby online, their customer service totally s??ks. They never answer their phones, they never reply to any emails, and doing a live chat with them is impossible. After watching you guys do a review on a certain aircraft I went online and ordered it. It was shown to be in stock at the time of the order, I placed the order on Dec. 13 2023, the order went through, they took my money, and gave me an order number. In the past it would take 5 days for them to ship an order from Illinois to Florida, so here it is Jan. 20 2024 and still no delivery. I think what's happening they are showing products on their website that are on back order or out of stock but not advertising it in that manner. They use to be a good company, but not anymore. I put in for a cancellation and requested a refund. Anymore if they release a product that I'm interested in I will go to a hobby shop in Orlando, Florida that is a Horizon dealer and give them my business.....

    Well time to sell my P.O.S. 1st Gen TT and get this upgraded version. I like that its wood and upgraded landing gear (FINALLY)!!! the 1st Gen landing gear was a very poor design. Sad that it took so long for E-flite to listen to the RC Community. Also, did they also solve the overheat problem like the first one??? I know there was a modification

    Yeah, that’s a nice airplane, but I would have to build a hangar to store it! Btw, is there a way to slow your flap deployment? Really takes away the realism. I have all my flaps on a slider, and looks so much more scale. Of course, I don’t use Spectrum radios, so don’t know. Nice flying, as usual

    Oh yes, I can absolutely make an input in my radio and have the flaps move slowly. I do this usually if I get lucky and the baby boy is still napping while I’m binding and programming my radio, lol! Have I mentioned I have very limited time to assemble, fly and edit!? 😂😅💯⚓️

    I moved from balsa builds to foam because foam was so cheap. In my opinion foam planes are to much money. I mean it is foam and in the past couple years most of my purchases have been all balsa. I like this but I do feel it's a bit pricey @ 850.00 for the BnF. I have the Hanger 9 15cc Carbon Cub and don't have 850 in that having to add all my own electronics and it's a larger plane. I would only get this on a very good sale. This Timber SWS Arf no electronics is 500 and the 15cc Carbon Cub is 450.

  • @Lithonion1

    @Lithonion1

    Well, we aren’t sponsored. However, if a company thinks their product might be a good fit for our audience, there is usually a rule about when we can release content for fairness, and so information isn’t released too early and could be wrong! Sometimes changes are made up to the very last minute (like things in the instruction manual, or even prices) so this gives everyone a chance to have accurate information and no unfair advantages for early views or whatever. Works like this in almost every industry/ hobby/ category in the world! 👍💯⚓️
