Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for all the tips! They’re all super helpful! Question about oxidizing the balloons/making them Matte-When you put outside, do they need to be already blown up? Or can we lay them out as is before blowing them up?

Is it worth and/or do you recommend double stuffing balloons you want to mattify or does the oxidizing process make them pretty opaque?

You can still put them outside and let the wind do the same work as the sun does 🥰

What balloon sizes did you use?

Can you put the balloons outside before they’re inflated?

These took about an hour total. I checked them at 30 minutes and wanted a bit more time for them

How do you clean the finger prints on the Matte finish balloons

If they’re going to get setup inside after you’ve matti fired them I put the entire garland together BEFORE putting them outside to get matte. That way I don’t have to touch them much once they’re mattified and don’t have to worry about fingerprints

If you live in a cold area how would I get the balloons to Matte?

You can keep them in your house and put them in front of a window so they get direct sunlight. It will take a while longer to mattify them (probably a few days) but it will work the same!

How do you “smooth out” the matte balloons?
