That balloon framing would probably survive a Cat4 hurricane but I wouldn't smoke in it lol.
So how do we as carpentry learner's build good buildings and structures that create good fire blocks? I have heard of green wood? Also my school project is a van, because I have come to love conservation and the Vanlife. But I want to know, because it's important to learn, so that I can help be a good partner to my education in construction maintenance technology. It's gratitude for learning that I am here. Don't allow fire places to escape into.
How hard/ costly would it be to add fire-resistant material, or simple block, to each cavity, to prevent vertical fire extension (similar question for any horizontal spaces)?
