"I got my season and I'm really happy that I had it. And now it's their turn." This really helped me right now.

Jean frolich and darci kistler remember them . I used to go to nycb all the time.

❤️❤️❤️
I love Albert Evans, Richard Tanner, Peter Martins, Glenn Keenan, Darci Kistler, Jean-Pierre Frohlich, and Kathleen Tracey.
I remember seeing Kathleen in a documentary about eating disorders
Darci Kistler (Peter Martins' wife) looked painfully stricken at the mere thought of emotions. Peter Martins is gone. Good riddance.

I think she was speaking about that she allows the dancers to make their own interpretations of the character and does not herself how a character in a ballet is supposed to be portrayed. Not defending Peter Martins, just to clarify,

Well, it's what Balanchine wanted, like it or not -- and I don't. I remember reading how he wouldn't even allow Merrill Ashley to look at her partner or show she was in love with him as Odette in Swan Lake, for God's sake. Based on interviews they've given, however, many NYCB ballerinas do make a point to infuse meaning in narrative and plotless ballets alike, rather than just becoming preoccupied with the steps. And they clearly love playing characters and feel enriched by the experience (see Sterling Hyltin's comments on La Sylphide) despite some people's belief that that's not "what NYCB is about."

Do you have so little insight into this art as to think she is thinking of her husband while talking about holding the down the integrity of a ballet?

That’s poor context. She’s saying she only teaches music and steps…because she wants the DANCERS to find their OWN emotions to attach to the role
No wonder Darci doesn't believe in teaching the emotions behind the steps... she's the master for Morgen.
i don't get why so many of their posture(s) are so terrible

Jessica Barnhill I actually noticed that on a few of them. Still amazing but I did notice that.
Am I the only one who prefers classical ballet? And by prefer I mean hate modern with a passion

Edward Joel no. I like classical, but I also love contemporary and lyrical because I can translate, the emotion.

I don't particularly like contemporary either but NYCB does it really well.
These videos New York Ballet need to be taken off the internet. Peter Martin retired questioning and later the legal issue against the company. This stains the the legal process.

Illogical. Removing these videos will not erase the knowledge of the company. Quite a few people already know who they are. Also of course the videos have been up for years at this point...
