Most of Le Corsaire's music was written by Adolphe Adam. But the Le Jardin Animé was an additional scene written for a revival in 1867. The composer for that scene was Léo Delibes. The version we hear on this recording is shorter than the original version; and the orchestration is changed from what Delibes originally wrote - more beefy! But whatever version a ballet company might use, it's great!
