Love the mixed texture and depth of the dail. Thanks for reviewing this one for us! Like your video contents.
Love how they did those indices!
I love Ball watches. I think they're underrated.
I have the Ball Fireman "Glory" and it has the same case and it fits beautifully on my 7 1/4 wrist... Love the watch, clean and looks dressy... The Nightbreaker more sporting with that very nice detailed dial...
A brand that gets overlooked that delivers a huge spec. Tritium is the way to go especially if you live in a climate with low sunlight

+1. I used to work a graveyard shift, often being in a darkened environment. I owned quite a few Ball watches back then.
Lovely watch! A nice leather strap would do it for me! The use of tridium the way they incorporated it into the design is quite nicely done
Have wanted a Ball watch for quite some time, and find this one absolutely beautiful!
Hi Teddy! Not only informative, each review has always been an educative brand piece - some has pushed me into building up my first modest collection - and the picture is so refined. Cherry on the cake, I did pick this Fireman Nightbreaker a week ago when I applied for the giveaway - prior this video publication! #KeepTheAmazingWork #🤞🏽
Great looking time piece. Well done, Teddy!
Thank you. looks like I found a tool watch for me.
Very nice true enthusiast tool watch. Perfectly suited for everyday enjoyment, or even dressed up with a coat and bow tie for the next engineering convention, for any technical industry really.
Thanks for this great review, Teddy! This piece is just awesome, honestly. I feel like the only "issue" I can come up with on this one is I wish that they put a sapphire back on it. This honestly gives me pause between going for this or say a Sinn 556. Very different pieces I know but it feels like people should just pick up both.
Love this watch's aesthetic design 💙. Just want the case size and lug-to-lug distance to be smaller.
Beautiful piece from Ball! Great Brand!
I have a Ball Trieste. They're phenomenal watches!
I'm glad I didn't see this video before I bought the watch; the rubber strap might have turned me off to it. I now like the strap a lot. Excellent video, excellent watch.
I purchased a Ball Engineering iii Marvelight Caring Edition. Can't wait to receive it. 🥳
I like that they've put 00 at the 12 rather than 60. When designating hours I prefer 00 to 24 as well. It's never 24:00:00 hours nor 1:60pm.

Technically the military does call it “twenty four hundred hour” at midnight sometimes, but I agree with you on the design choice.
That's a really solid offering 👌
the dial looks great
This man is making ads on a daily basis. good on you they are amazing
Will you be doing a review on the Seiko Sharp Edge GMT?
Nice touch adjusting the time from 10:10 to 1:50
Started to appreciate Ball and those tritium vials coz of your channel.👌
Sounds and looks like a very cool watch. Too bad I settled on a Sinn 555 IB a while back…this would have been a contender for sure (especially since I went to graduate school at Case) Thanks again, Teddy
Ball rocks ! not the first to say they provide top value for price. i'm holding out for a worldtime.
Love my enterprise and all the Ball variants of it. Mis speak with the yellow tritium tubes instead of the green pictured?
Ball watch co is my favorite brand and also the grail brand for me along with the ulysse nardin
You sell Ball watches now????? This is a dream come true!
GREAT VIDEO
Most excellent & underrated watches on the planet
Very refined workmanship for sure! :)
As I move to luxury watches Ball is definitely a brand I will seriously consider.
recently became a fan of Ball watches. and got 2 of them in my collection now. The only slight gripe i had with Ball watch is that the designs are generally more 'traditional' and 'older generation' looking. Though that is good on certain style of watches, i would love to see Ball working more in design inclined to the younger generation, such as this one in the video. and perhaps some complications added in the future too.
How about the Night Fireman Ballbreaker? 🥸

Love the history lesson!
I recently purchased a Marathon GSAR from you. After telling my father about it, he asked me were their watches similar to it. I've come to understand that section of watches are "Tool Watches." Would you do a video talking about tool watches and which ones are good for what?
i still think why these watches are underrated. But i do feel a time will come when these will be given much more preference over omega and rolex. and may be in future i request ball to do create a space watch too.
Congrats, ball watches are excellent
Is this a Grand Seiko homage and if a date is necessary it would be better placed at the 6 o position.
Just one question, Teddy. I have an old Luminox and the tritium has finally started to fade. Can you get new tubes on the Ball in the future?
That is a perfect watch.
Teddy last December I bought the fireman. Racer which shares the same case but I wonder whether the movement it is antimagnetic too?
Most of the Ball have a very specific flaw - smaller lumes for hands and outstanding markers/batons...
I love this watch and I love the story of ball . But I’d like to know where the watches are made and I’d like to know a lot about that.
I have a Fireman Racer that is my daily watch. Dress it up or down with a strap change.
Are there watches that incorporate both lume and tritium? I feel like this would be the best combo.
Man, people don't talk about Ball watches enough, but I guess that could be seen as good if you're a fan of them like I am. Get them at a better price. 😉 After finishing the video, I see you're an AD for Ball watches. Nice! I'll be visiting probably next year to get another one. I have 2 (my second one was a pre-order of the Legend II, and that should arrive this month), but I could always use another one. 😊
Ball makes a good watch
since my childhood trains have been my favorite is there any other brand on earth which is deeply related to the trains?
can do a video about ball watch hydrocarbon deep quest?
Congrats
Very nice indeed. Been looking at Ball, toss up between a Railmaster, a Black Bay 41 or a Ball.... Cheers 👍🏻👍🏻

What grade of movement does Ball use? I assume at least elabore, perhaps top?
im new to timepieces, can someone explain to me what a "tool watch" is. thanks in advance
Waiting for model Ball Real Baller
This or Sinn 104? Any other suggestions?
That’s an interesting origin story.
Hi Teddy can I order this watch to be shipped to Johannesburg South Africa?
Ball or Rado captain cook?
Love Ball photos & design but they’re nearly impossible to see & try on with so few US dealers. It’s a real issue.
I understand the Ball watch company and railroad connection. Is there a story behind the fireman/firefighter connection? Or is the fireman name just a random title? Love Ball watches, I'd love to own one someday. Great video Teddy. 👍

Fireman is a railroad job. They shovelled the coal in steam trains.
Pretty interesting watch. Any idea on the cost to replace when they decay past their useful life? 25 years is a long time, so really not a huge issue, unless passing it down to the next generation.
@brianmsahin

That's a question I often asked myself. Good for you to ask someone else! I wonder is there a solution though. Maybe not as they're sealed tubes, unless you could get complete new markers applied, if they're available 25 years from now!

It will be half as bright after 12 years though. It's the main reason I haven't bought a Ball Watch. I like the aesthetic of their Engineer collection but you can't find a reliable cost expectation of what it will cost to service the tritium tubes. With Breitling and others, I can get a true cost of ownership directly from their website, so I know what the service cost is likely to be in several years
@valjean3141
3 жыл бұрын
My impression is that you can get tritium tubes replaced when servicing, but I don’t know how expensive that is. (Then again, how expensive could it be? The entire watch retails for USD 1300 new - the tritium tubes presumably have to be only a small fraction of that.)
@thumperjdm
3 жыл бұрын
I owned quite a few Ball watches a few years ago, and had a few of them serviced/re-dialed by Ball. Ball would replace the entire dial (and handset if you requested it), not individual tritium tubes. My recollection is that a new dial cost ~$150, with the total service charge being roughly $300-400, and taking about 2-3 months for total turnaround time. The cost seemed fair to me.
Is it not a bad idea to change the date at 10 o'clock, especially as the date change was obviously engaged at that time?
@giusepperocchi2979
3 жыл бұрын
Maybe it was actually 10:00, so no problem because the date change engages after 22:00.
Another great video! This watch would really fill out my collection.. just wish it was a 38 or 39mm case!
I really like Ball's designs, but my wrists can't take >47mm lug to lug... It's a damn shame
It needs a nylon/sailcloth strap!
Love the watch, but the second hand being painted red on top and raw goldish underneath seems a little unfinished.
I have a question I got this watch after watching this video at the time I payed 100 but now I see for 1400
It’s a bit of a shame about the strap, because that is a fantastic looking watch from a fantastic company with a great backstory
Teddy Sir pass this one to me. I really and deeply want this one. you can throw this one to me in a giveaway lol. Please keep on bringing newer brands for the world it might be new but they are a class apart. we shall highly welcome them. Laurent Ferrier is one of them. And also Campanola from citizen
Hands need to be a tad longer but other than that, pretty nice.
Teddy, You are doing a great job, telling about Watches. Just a little pray from Denmark. Could You talk a little bit slower for ud with an other Language???? Please... Erik.
At time stamp 4:19 (and a few other time stamps) the polished minute and hour hands betray the unfinished underneath area of the seconds hand! Otherwise a beautiful timepiece. Well done and well shot Teddy!
@FullyAdamatic

Well now I can't unsee that!
👍🏻
Did you notice the reflection of the underside of the second hand in the hour and minute hands? Why is the underside unfinished? Turned me off! Otherwise, a great looking watch.
why is it called the fireman? BALL also makes a excellent diver

Tritium is superior to all other forms of marker illumination.
Very nice watch, but my brain skipped a beat as I read the watch name and just kept seeing "Ball" and "Breaker". Sorry. Infantile, I know, just couldn't help it.😂😂😂
Figures lol. Couldn’t find a Ball Watch under $1600 when I entered the giveaway, then this thing comes out. Oh well

I can't find the response to my comment. Some Guy asked if I was in the U.S. He can't find the Nightbreaker. Yes, I am in the U.S.

The lug gaps....
I know this is nuts, but is anyone else bothered by the fact that the seconds hand is only red on one side, and you can see the unfinished side in the reflection of the hour and minute hands?
Lug to lug too long for me :(
You mention your a ball authorized dealer Can you reply to with the phone number to your store?

I feel like Ball has the potential to be such an amazing brand, but they've chosen to mostly appeal to Russian oligarchs and people who are fans of overly big and shiny watches with strange integrated lug designs. If they do more conservative designs like this, and get some celebrity endorsements I think the brand could do well. American heritage, coolest name ever (?), and interesting tech.
@mkyhou1160

I don’t think Russian Oligarchs buy shitters. Overly blingy Rolex, Ulysse Nardin, but not Ball..
@ams914

@@mkyhou1160 Look at their marketing. They directly market to Russia. Ball aren't shitter watches, either. They're actually very well made. Depends on what you think a "shitter" is.
@jakekaywell5972

By "more conservative" do you mean more Rolex look-alikes? Because that's what the new watch market seems to have in abundance. Personally, I think Ball should keep doing what they're doing. They've found a niche and are sticking to it, much like modern-day Raketa (my single favorite watchmaker BTW).
Anyone else think the hands are too thick? They seem out of proportion.
I like Ball watches but the idea of small tubes of radioactive gas strapped to my wrist weirds me out. Am I the only one?
Is that true that nowadays owners are Chinese?For me its not a problem when they deliver watches like this🙂
a very suspicious 'swiss' brand.
@davidforman6191
3 жыл бұрын
Not really. You do know that there are regulations regarding watches being labelled as 'Swiss made'? www.cosc.swiss/en/quality/swiss-made-controlled-label
Love the watch but I wish it was smaller. Research has shown that over the last four decades Industrial chemicals made penises shrink-and impacting fertility. As every generation in the past four decades have smaller penises the watches have become bigger and bigger. Personally I think 33mm is ideal size for a real man. I can tolerate 36mm if it’s a Rolex and the price is good.
