My biggest green flag is that I have owned royal pythons for almost 10 years now, yet I will still watch every new care guide that comes out. I now have boas and tegus, much more 'advanced' reptiles, yet I still will NEVER say I know everything there is to know, even when it comes to more basic species like royals. Pet care is never perfect because it is ever changing. Thank you for doing what you do!

THIS!!!☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 Such a green flag! You are absolutely right! I always say, you are never done learning! Everything will continue to change and advance, which is why it’s important that we continue to do our research! Thank you for commenting! Keep on being awesome! 👏🏻

I had to put in an 80-watt RHP for my 1st BP, and it's actually heating up the entire room where I keep all my snakes. Im actually very happy it is because I will worry less come winter! My old house is very cold in the Midwest, and it's usually lower than 70 degrees yr round. I was thinking they'd all need a heat panel, but they're gradients are already benefitting from having 1 large panel in the room. Wanted to pass it on, as I can't be the only one with that issue. ❤

You can cohabit if you terrarium is big enough with a lot of hides. I have done it without any problems. In the wild they find more then 1 ball python in the same holes.

Yes cohabbing can be done with many different species, but because the information I provide is for the average pet keeper, I will never advise anyone to cohab in my videos because of how strategic you have to be.

in my opinion, since most of the time ppl who watch these educational videos are newbies in the reptile keeping hobby, it is best to say that THEY SHOULD NOT cohabitate. no matter how many times you explain that reptiles don't need friends and they don't feel lonely, if you just slightly suggest that a reptile can be cohabitated, they will immediately jump on the idea and think their new pet needs a friend... of course if you have experience, and you have the space, time and money to keep more than 1 from a species in 1 enclosure, well then it's alright. but unfortunately, most people who are new to this, don't understand that you must supervise constantly and carefully if everyone is alright in the enclosure. and at this point, I think it has to be mentioned that a lot of ppl who keep reptiles just don't care enough about their pet's well being... they just buy them and that's it, they have a new room decoration... :( so conclusion: this is the reason why I think it shouldn't be "advertised" that reptiles can be cohabitated. (if someone starts to dig deeper in the tons of knowledge that's on the internet, they will figure it out eventually anyways, and for the time they get there, hopefully they will be clever enough to decide responsibly if they want to cohab or not) (sorry it got a little long 😂)

@zareptiles I use their UVB and DHPs. I just got one of their basking bulbs for my hognose. He is so little and has a heat mat, but want to move him to overhead heating soon.

3 is definitely plenty 🤣 I said 1 was enough… but I couldn’t say no when Kahlua needed a home …. But then I decided what’s one more because they are sooooo good when it comes to being hands on which is a huge bonus for my education business sooooo then I took in Mojito when he needed a home lol! No more ball pythons! 🤣

More variety and better nutrition! Just like the food we eat, different prey items for snakes have different nutritional benefits. The majority of species aren’t eating ONLY rodents in the wild, which means in captivity a rodent only diet is lacking in nutrients they naturally would consume
