Doom is actually really fire, it's just the new bugs really fuck up muscle memory and even somehow ruins a rollout. If they get fixed and don't cause 40 new bugs, then he would be dominating, imo. Edit: they fixed the bugs, prepare for the dive heroes to dominate.

The only reason he's one of the worst tanks is because it's not worth the amount of time and skill you have to put in to get decent value out of ball when you could just play one of the other tanks that are much easier to learn. Not to mention he's like the easiest tank to counter swap against to completely shut him down if you don't have the experience playing against his counters.

Ball needs a buff in the next patch ngl. It was already difficult enough to get a kill on a support between the insane healing numbers and hamsters shit damage output to begin with. Add that to your team immediately falling over the moment you go to kill someone. Now everyone has more HP.

In terms of Dive Tanks. Winston's Primal punches got +10 damage. D.Va's bomb got extended range. Doomfist's Rocket Punch got buffed damage on hit and impact. Wrecking Ball got no love.

How about Adaptive Bullets for Ball: shooting an enemy calibrates bullets to gradually increase damage against that enemy by 25%, while decreasing damage against anyone else by 5%. Calibration is reset instantly when killing the calibration target or gradually while not shooting for a short time. Think of it like Sojourn's railgun mechanic but to increase damage instead of shooting lasers.

Ball has been buffed in the sense that aiming has been made easier globally and HP has been increased globally to counteract this, but, nobody ever had a problem landing shots on ball so the improved aim will not lead to much of an increase in the amount of damage ball receives. IMO

Tbh I think it's a net neutral. Ball is now heavily reliant on his dps, even more than before, but he's also less likely to die himself.

The main part imo is that the tanks he struggled with before are suffering way more from the 20% healing reduction. On ball you're usually either fighting or healing, unlike the other tanks that do both. vs dps and support its pretty neutral or negative depending on how you look at it. The fireball, slam, fire, melee combo is weaker but hitting small ad strafing targets like kiriko or tracer is easier, and you weren't really getting them with combo before anyway. Ball is easier to hit as well but that doesn't matter as much because he was always easy to hit. The global health buff also lets your team mates survive easier, allowing ball to be ball without worrying about his team being instagibbed and crying for shields.

I cant tell you how many times lately grapples are not hitting for me too, on perfectly viable surfaces that are in range. It would also help if ball had an option to activate grapple on press only, that way if you happen to hold it down before its off cd, it wouldn't accidentally activate

The adaptive shield can be buggy too but for some reason it never gets spoken of hm I have it on tape for sure giving 100 only with no barriers or such possibly able to intervene and then look like a dick when I get melted

Do you have a "Learn how to use Hammond" video? I need a tutorial to learn essencials and all about him. Thinking on learning the good way to use him and I often see you make insane movements I didn't know I could do with him

Honestly he's even more survivable now when disengaging or just being an annoying boop rat. I've gone a number of games now with zero deaths even with full counters because the dps can actually kill whoever I'm targeting. He still needs tweaking but I'm actually happy where he stands currently if you're clean with the tether.

Played a match yesterday where we absolutely destroyed the enemy team but their tank switched to ball (to throw) and then just sit on the payload in ball form. We genuinely couldn't kill him. Literally our firepower not enough to kill afk ball lmao. We lost that match because of ball's stall, nothing else.

Everyone is saying he’s the best tank because bogur, mind you someone who doesn’t play ball, says it’s good. And it’s really annoying and stupid. Ball is not good. Is he playable? Yes definitely. But you get so much less value than the other tank for 10x the skill expression because they just play literally any of the tanks that counter you. You cant get solo kills because of the health buff. Any time you re-dive you get abilities back but they’ve either self healed it back or been healed. When you finally get mines. It does absolutely nothing unless all of them are in a 3x3 metre enclosed room (assuming they don’t have and immortality ability). It’s just stupid. Also what’s worse is if they’re playing a high damage comp you instantly die.
