Chris Schanning bales more than 100 miles of roadsides each summer with his Kubota BV5160 round baler. He likes the baler because of the rotor intake that pre-compresses the hay for faster baling. Another highlight is the Supercut-14 knife that chops hay into 2.75" for nice, dense bales. His cows prefer the 2.75" cut, too--the smaller lengths are easier to digest and reduce the amount of hay that is wasted or sorted.
The baler features the Intelligent Density 3D with preselected densities for each zone of the bale. It also has a parallelogram drop floor to help clear blockages quickly and easily.
