In case anyone was wondering about the swastika's on the temples at 3:23, they were used in several religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism long before the symbol was hijacked and stigmatized to the western world by the Nazis. They are sometimes still used in India today and are in no way affiliated with what most westerners have come to know the symbol to mean

Think of it as banned by the victors (USA) to prevent loyalists from forming resistances post-war. Add the propaganda to it and you have what it is today. Which isn't the first time governments moved mass opinion on symbolics in a certain direction. Here's some historical trivia. If you had a crucifix in Japan at one point, Samurai would behead you. It's like to them Jesus was "evil" too and it was their decree. One of the most intriguing artifacts from then were like these mirrors, where if you shine light on it a certain way, it will project a crucifix to aid "rebels" in worship as well as identify with each other. ;)

you need to go somewhere well that's not hard find the cheapest means of transport could be carpooling, maybe trains, maybe airplanes, someplace in a 200 Mike radius of you, take a tenet or couchsurf( which is a free service BTW) , take your smartphone as a camera and there ya go.....

I'm not rich either. I don't have a saving. But if I do want to go traveling, I'll save money and search for the cheapest flight MONTHS before the trip. I sleep at the airports, terminals, stations. Ask the locals for better options to keep the budget. If I waited until I had much money, I would've gone nowhere.

Awesome video, as always! Reminded me of the time I visited Bali, the summer before my last year in HS. My parents knew a few locals in the area, and while we didn't go to any of the places mentioned in the video, we took trips to see ancient ruins, a temple overrun with monkeys, private beaches (blocked off by sheer cliffs on either side), and another temple perched on top of a rocky island, where we could see from a distance a train of women carrying baskets of supplies and goods one late afternoon. I also remembered the number of dogs out on the streets (as opposed to cats in Jakarta), numerous flower baskets locals laid out in front of buildings as offerings, and the fresh, salty, ocean breeze you can scent even from the airport... Overall, a different side of Indonesia that I had been fortunate enough to experience :)

The habitants of that kind of country are just so simple and special, I mean I would give them an embrace... I couldn't become as strong as they are for their everyday tasks and I'm already too impregnated by internet, etc. I wouldn't be able to leave that behind unless I'm forced too. Really really really respectable persons there!

Know what? Four days are even better! I spent four days at a out-the-road horse camp with no modern technology, and it gave me so much time to think about myself and create the best friendship I ever made with a animal. It was the best time of my life!
