Dolce Vita the italian restaurant was packed full of tourists

One of the first families to set up a shop in Jl Kartika still operate the black & white shop..Left of the 100.000rp store just down from Bali Rani. The store is only little compared to what it was like in the 80’s. Hardly anything was in jl Kartika in the early 80’s. Mainly all bush. The road was dirt. It was a very very long walk to around kuta square which wasn’t there at the time. The first shop you would run into on the corner of Bakung Sari was called, Fast Eddie’s. A leather handbag and other leather products. He was the man. Not even Bemos would drive down jl Kartika after it rained. It was a mud pit all the way down. The good old Bali days.
