ITS great to see someone who can fix there own equipment , you are so right about the cost of others working on your stuff , i just change a few things on my old truck , parts were cheap and i knew how to replace most of it , but i did have them change my key switch it cost me 32$ for the part but i had to pay 265$ for them to change it , lol , you were talking about getting some new tools to use working on your stuff , i would like to send you some but i have never seen a PO BOX where someone could send something , BE WELL , BE SAFE , ENJOY LIFE

I like the Vermeer, we have two of them. In case one breaks than we have another one to take it’s place. I do the repairs myself. Vermeer might be cheaper than Deere and you can get bearings easy, I always buy North American bearings. I like the john Deere balers, the bales seem to be a bit firmer.

Great video, I wanted to see what is inside them and the closest I can get to one is on Farming Simulator 19. Bearing quality is very important. I worked with lots of very big electric motors and HVAC fans and boilers in a hospital and we always bought the most expensive ones so they last a long time. Link Belt is a old ancient company like Caterpillar and made and makes very high quality excavators so I can see why you chose their bearings. Mercedes quality they are.

Cost of new equipment is very very high. Plus new equipment is all computer operated and mostly unfixable by your average farmer. It may be more efficient but not having to call a dealer and pay $200- 300 per hour plus travelling time is a big issue for smaller operators.

New Farm machinery is very expensive, which drives the used equipment market up. A new baler is $65000.00. This amount of money will not justify to make a purchase like this for only one piece of machinery. Sometimes there is not much money to be made in the cattle business.
