Right?! It's such an icon! I love it!

I bought mine in 2017 and I still like it very much because it's that one bag that I can carry all sorts of stuff in given that now days designers make a lot more mini bags. This is a practical bag and it's so durable. I use it to travel with me too. Some people did say it's dated and not the "it" bag anymore, but I still love mine. This is that classic bag that represents the brand. Hope it becomes popular again!

You are so right! I love how useful and versatile the City bag is. And it's the perfect size for daily carry and travel. I don't think it's dated, the City bag is such a classic piece of fashion history!

Great video!! The Olsen twins is what started my love for the Balenciaga city bag. For years I had a Amazon dupe and finally when I was pregnant with my son I purchased one off of poshmark in the color I believe Blue Lagon. I love it!

Yes THE Balenciaga City bag was my childhood fantasy, I saw celebs carrying this iconic bag everywhere and I was lucky enough to purchase the City (Black, in goatskin RHW, 2006) for an insanely cheap price. It goes with anything, absolutely an icon.

I absolutely love the city bag! It will never leave my collection! I have a video on this bag as well :) I do prefer the chèvre leather over the agneau lamb leather. My city is from 2007 and I searched high and low for one in good condition and finally found one. 2007 is probably my favorite year of leather. I would like to find a 2004 true red first bag. @@CalebSnell i got the black w/ the gold hardware cause i think it’s the safest choice for a guy. But actually do u think it’s quite feminine? I’m not used to wearing leather bags actually but i really liked how “cool & edgy” the city bag looks that’s why i got one. If it’s okay to request a video, can u please do a “try-on” or “styling/how u wear” your city bag. I find it hard to look for YT vids for guys wearing it. 🥺

For some reason KZread held your response, but I promise I wasn't ignoring you! Have you gotten your City yet? I think depending on how you style it, the design can lean masculine or feminine. But black with gold hardware is a really good choice! I have some modeling photos of it on my instagram!

Your enthusiasm for Balenciaga makes me so happy!! It is my favorite handbag of all time and a black classic City bag was my first luxury handbag purchase back in 2014. Haha guilty as charged! 💁🏻‍♂️ I had my hunt narrowed down to that or a multicolore Speedy 30, but the Work was too perfect to pass on, so I ordered it basically the minute I walked in the door after work. 😄 You’ll love the envelope clutch, it’s the perfect daily clutch! Fashionphile has a Bleu Mineral with ggh in decent condition. 😄

I love the City bag and Balenciaga; one of my favorite designers. I didn’t buy one as I’m not a huge fan of fabric lining. Stuff gets caught in the folds, etc. what a smart idea to cover one’s handbag in the car with a towel. I cannot believe I didn’t think of that before. Smart!

I have 3 of the city bags, the red, black and a white graffiti. these purses are so durable and awesome, I can't believe you only have that much in it, lol because they are like a bottomless pit! Also, the more you fill it, the more it just retains its shape. I was lucky and got my white graffiti at the Balenciaga outlet, then the next year my hubby bought me the red and the black ones at the same outlet, which of course now the original city's are gone. I was looking at my bag while you were going over it, and my mirror does not have the card holder on the back, so I am guessing it was made prior to 2007, wow thanks for this video.

I got the city in the metallic edge in chèvre in Beige latte 6 months ago, originally 2017. I love this bag to bits. I use it as a work bag, it fits MacBook 13”, it’s my day and travel bag as well.

Referring to your advice on storing the bag with the handles faced up, I knew I wasn’t crazy! I actually received two free bag handle hangers from a department store that went out of business here in Houston a while back so that way they can be on display and in good shape. My friends actually joke that I have a Saks in my closet because of the shelf layout 😂

Haha! You had the right idea!! Have you noticed any indents or wear on the bottom of the handles where they rest on the handle hangers? I found some gold stands online that look really cool, but I've always wondered how they wear. I love the idea of having a Saks closet, I bet it looks amazing!!!!

You could use one, and that would definitely help. But I like the squishy look, so I don't use one.

Thank you so much! That's a tough question! I think the blue croc is gorgeous and I think it's timeless- you could carry that bag for years! Before you decide- ask yourself- "if I buy one and not the other, which one would I regret not buying?" That usually helps me decide!

I'm sure it could, but it would be a little tight in there. For those additional items like a thermos and lunchbox, I would recommend going up a size to a Part Time or a Work!

Great question! I wouldn’t call it an investment bag, but with the 00’s coming back into trend, I would definitely count on the prices of preowned City bags to rise along with it. Now will they hold that value years down the road? Only time will tell! 😊

Trash that bag. The whole reason I bought one is because it's meant to be trashed. Remember Mary Kate with her wine stained bag w/gum on the bottom? No need to baby that thing. I actually tried to wear my bag out over the last few years, and it can take some serious abuse
