Now, whether you think it looks "better" or not is completely subjective, but telling men to just "man up" and shave their heads is detrimental to mental health. If people think that they THEMSELVES look good bald, then great, go for it, but to not afford the same choice or respect for those who think they look better with hair is a real dick move.

I'm 21 and I started wearing a hair system this week. I do all of the maintenance myself at home. I started losing my hair at 17. It ruined my life for a few years because I was always that guy who was literally known for his hairstyles. Even my nickname was based on my hair before I started losing it. Now I'm getting back to my old self.

  • @vSpiikey

@5k Food Challenge Once per week altho if I do a bad attachment job I have to take it off sooner. I'm still new to it so will get better at doing it over time. Max you can really go is 2 weeks. EDIT: I've been using a hair system for almost a year now and I can stretch it out to 3 weeks, although it feels dirty when I do that. 10-14 days is pretty optimal in my opinion.

  • @vSpiikey

@5k Food Challenge Not at all. It actually smells really good. I use lots of different products to sanitise it and then attach it and they all smell quite strong, but still they're all nice smells. It's better to not keep taking it off too quickly as that would probably irritate your skin a bit.

@@lincabe321 Yep, it's super tight on the head. If you get a crease on it though (which I have) it's quite annoying, although it's not the end of the world. But you're usually stuck with that crease once that happens. I'm still wearing the same system since July last year (it's now May). I don't think that's very normal though. I've made this one last way longer than most since I look after it quite well. Also, the girls that are now attracted to me again this past year never would have went near me without this system btw. I'm back to being regarded as a handsome guy again and it's great. It's a superficial old world though.

Most actors have rugs and fake hair for movies and going out. It's fine to have a cover up of a flaw. It just seems like a hassle to fix it everyday so if only hair transplants were cheaper gave more hair I would rather wait for something that gave my hair back. I am thin on top but it's not that bad and I am trying now to see if I can save it but I am already considering this.

Women who lose their hair are almost expected to buy a hair replacement system, and people are supportive of it. They would tell her that her new hair makes her look beautiful. It's not usually socially acceptable for men to wear hair replacement systems. It's seen as a joke. Men are ridiculed for being bald or for wearing a hairpiece. It's a lose-lose situation. This video is progressive in a good way. This should be seen as a socially acceptable option for men with hair loss.

I have hair, just a bad hairline. I shaved my head to try on one of these systems, it cost £500. I took it off after the first month, it damaged the hair follicles I already had under my head. The hair, on the top of my head, is much thinner now. Maybe this is good for those who are already bald, just note that most systems have horrible hairlines and you'll always have a color mismatch.

The glue (or tape) creates an entire wall between the follicles. It's not healthy. Honestly, I regret getting this done. It has damaged the hair I already have. The maintenance is also a nightmare. You have to take it off every 2 weeks to deep clean it and reapply glue/tape. These companies are taking advantage of men's insecurities.

When women can enhance their body parts to look good why not men. In this day and age why should any human have to live with any physical discomfort. This sweet person deserves all the happiness in the world including a head full of hair if that's what makes him happy. And this isn't even a typical toupee tbh. This is pretty simple and a great way to wear one.

He's a handsome guy so either way he's handsome, but it shines a light on our "stimulus value" for other people. People do treat you differently based on how you look, it's just part of our evolutionary package to make snap judgements. Learning to note when this happens and how it effects how we feel about the people we see... that is interesting. Choosing how you want to ppear to others is pretty empowering. Glad he gave himself this experience though as guys don't get to do stuff like this often, good for him. Either way he's a handsome guy.

I feel like it isn't necessary and you look great without it, but I also feel like the hair piece looks really great too. I think when we just try new things, we learn a lot about ourselves. Also, I cannot get over how absolutely adorable your son is!! Totally reminds me of my youngest son. That blonde hair and that smile 😍
