Dan saying "slap a wild on it why not" and then selling the Lovers card is a +2

Hey Dan! I was between recordings when I saw your 8’s and J’s attempt. And then the Aces attempt. I was dying laughing and every time you said “don’t ever talk to me” I was literally responding “Okay king okay I won’t, you’re the goat.” Amazing run my guy!

And now Dan has completed another challenge that Ryan Gary did not. I love the tenacity of Dan and his never give up attitude.

Pigeon- here's my advice. The market is already saturated with many, many people struggling to make a career out of youtube because they saw someone else do it. Expect this to be a hobby, not a source of income. Do it because you like to talk to yourself out loud while playing games, and for no other reason. Stay away from politics and unsavory behavior. Don't spend too much money on your channel unless you can already afford it. Have fun, first of all. I saw a guy spend 10 years on his youtube channel before it actually started taking off, and that's not even guaranteed. You can't work for free for ten years, so please, consider this a hobby not a jobby. If you stream the game on Twitch you can hopefully see when you have people viewing, and you can have someone to talk to while you're recording. Post the VODs on a separate channel on youtube, and your professional looking edited stuff on your main channel. If you post VODs on your main channel it KILLS your watch time, and youtube will not recommend your stuff to new viewers. IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER. If you stream on twitch people can find your channel easily and join just to see someone, anyone, play a certain game. It's how you can get some small numbers of subscribers to your channel because it's like free advertising. You get bigger because your videos get consistent views and watch time, likes and comments. Then the youtube algorithm goes "hey, people are interested, let's show it to more people." You don't get bigger if there's no views and no watch time.

@@PigeonABC I have seen people do both at the same time, streaming on youtube and twitch at the same time, I just think responding to and monitoring two chats is a bit much especially for a beginner, and I generally hate how youtube does chats, so yeah, twitch seems to be preferable right now. I also see people use KZread to save their VODs on a separate channel primarily because Twitch only saves the VODs for x number of months and then deletes them. So far youtube isn't deleting people's vod channels no matter how old, or how few views, so that's a great way to archive your own stuff unedited. Beware of copyrighted music playing on your video or stream, that's the quickest way to get strikes and lose your channel and thus your subscribers. That seems to be more deadly to youtubers than anything else, so avoid all copyrighted content. The main advantage of streaming on twitch is that if you stream a niche game like balatro you might be one of the only people online streaming that content at certain hours of the day, even briefly, and anyone who wants to watch balatro will see your channel is live under that particular category, so you can reach people without relying on an algorithm that decides who sees your content- It becomes ANYONE who is looking for that type of content. Obviously less of an advantage if no one wants to see that content, or too many content creators are streaming that content, but it's how I found people with like 1 subscriber. It works.
