Q&A: Q: "What does balanced mean"/"What deck is that"/"How do you get those numbers for a flush?" A: The deck used in this run is plasma deck, what it does is "balance" your chips and multipliers essentially making each equal to the average of the two values. For examples this turns 7 chips and 3 mult into 5 chips and 5 mult. Q: "Isn't that deck really broken?" A: Yes. Q: "How long did this take?" A: The entire grind was 27 hours long, with 3851 attempts. The session I got the run itself lasted just 19 minutes. Q: "What is going on?"/"What is the strat?" A: I was resetting for a very specific start with the plasma deck (explained above). Essentially i wanted a flush to beat the first boss in one hand into [[Stuntman]] (300 chips and -2 handsize) in the first shop. This is good enough to kill everything until anté 5 with one card, by that time I needed a [[Blueprint]] (copy the joker to the right). What having these to jokers does is give you +600 chips, which because of plasma deck is equal to +300 chips and +300 mult, carrying me to the end of the game. Q: "Why did you sell the joker at the end?" A: The joker i sold is one which triggers every time I play a hand. This is a timeloss because it triggering plays an animation. Not selling that joker earlier is a mistake. Q: "Is anything other than [[Stunntman]] and [[Blueprint]] viable?" A: A few jokers exist which might be worth while. If you're going for world record [[Bull]] (+2 chips for every gold) is theoretically the best, however the RNG required to get it working is insane. Aside from that [[Brainstorm]] (copies leftmost jokers ability) can work as a replacement for [[Blueprint]] and [[Invisible Joker]] (sell after 3 rounds to make a copy of a random joker) could give you an additional [[Stuntman]] if you get it early enough.

He's playing with a deck that balances his chips and his multiplier. The first thing he does is buy the joker that gives +300 chips, which then properly becomes 150x150 at the very least, because of said deck. He later finds a blueprint joker, which duplicates the +300 chips effect. Since he doesn't need to do anything more or even have the right hand to get a ton of points, he just rolls with it.

There are a lot of good speedrun jokers, but not quite as nuts as this obviously. Ice cream is a great joker for an average speed run, as well as the card that gives you chips for each card in your deck, or the one that gives chips for remaining discards

If you're going for world record, bull is theoretically the fastest, since you can one shot every boss with only one joker triggering. The RNG required to do that is insane though, maybe we'll see it a year or two from now.

Meanwhile I have over 75 runs and I've won 1 time....

So ik what the plasma deck does but the only joker I recognize is blueprint, can someone explain the other 3 (even tough it looks like the one never procs)

The first joker I pick up is Stuntman, it gives you +300 chips and -2 handsize, when copied by blueprint it gives +300 chips without the -2 handsize (which in this case is actually aw negative). The other two jokers are to the moon and abstract, to the moon gives you +13 mult per queen held in hand and abstract gives you +3 mult for every other joker you have.

It balances your chips and mult making them both the average of the two values. So something like 7 and 3 would become 5 and 5. It really is op, the only catch is that every blind is 2x larger.

thats the effect of the plasma deck. It will sum up chips and mult and put half of that in chips and the other half and mult and then multiply that for the chip total

yes, the plasma deck balance the chips and the mult making them even, so if you play a couple lvl1 with, for example, a K, the normal poker hand would be 5+10*1 = 15*1 = 15, but the deck would convert 5+10*1 = 15*1 into 8*8 = 68

Okay, I'm having a fucking blast with this game but what am I missing? When I play Red Deck the highest round I have got to was I think 16. Never in the realm of needing over 80,000 chips to beat a round but how the actual fuck do I get multipliers that would even get me there? I think there's a component beyond boosting hand classes and jokers to increase my multiplier that I am simply missing.

the strategy that works for me most of the time is: get a chip joker, like odd todd, castle or square joker. Get a flat mult joker like Scholar or Abstract and get a multiplicative joker like vampire. With that you can get pretty consistent to ante 8.

Runs one joker card that does +300 in chips, -2 hand size. Puts up a single ace, 24,000 chips. What cheats are you running guy?

This run uses the plasma deck, which balances your chips and multiplier effectively turning +300 chips into +150 chips and +150 mult. This deck is completely vanilla, no mods or cheats were used, if you're still wavering on the legitimacy of the run it was verified on the official leaderboards.
