Baking soda is not the same as bicarbonate of soda. Baking soda is a combination of bicarbonate of soda and cream of tartar. I presume you mean bicarbonate of soda.

Baking powder is a combination of bicarbonate of soda and cream tartar not baking soda. 🙏
