Several years down the line now where they have Nala PLUS Ottilie and bbg no.2, sadly no more guinea pigs, Pewds and Marzia have baby boy Bjorn and ofc sadly Maya has crossed the great rainbow bridge whilst Edgar has a Momo sibling! Time is a weird thing!! A weird thing indeed 😭

Poppy is soo quite over here and now in 2017 she is soo much more confident

You can't bake a rainbow cake using yellow cake mix, or with egg yoke, because the yellow interferes with the dyes. Buy white, like white white cake mix and only use the whites of the eggs next time

It can work as long as she uses gel dyes as they are much more concentrated. Even if she had used white cake, the liquid dyes would never bake as bright as the gel.

Can't describe how much I loved your skirt and lipstick and the fact that they matched Alfie's outfit, is so adorable. I also think that you looked a lot like The Red Riding Hood when you were picking up those plants for your guinea pigs, especially with the awesome floppy hat.

The white pug makes me miss Buddy. He looked just like her & was 14 when he was put down (from old age & nightly seizures & a huge blood clot in his forehead. Poor guy was suffering). I grew up with him & miss him dearly. Was my little protector (when my mom yelled at me when I was 4 or 5 he would stand between us, guarding me & bark at her as if to chew her out & tell her not to yell at me lol) he was a sweetheart. RIP Buddy

I'm a Brownie Leader :) They have changed the promise and it's now "I promise that I will do my best, to be true to myself and develop my beliefs, to serve the queen and my community, to help other people and to keep the brownie guide law". It's taken quite some learning after it being the same promise for the 16 years I've been involved in guiding.

Regarding the cake, its probably the food colourings you used. Some of them are only good for dyeing fondant/frosting/icing. When baked it changes colour. Food colouring gel or paste (rather than liquid) would work best for next time. You only need to use a little bit and it wont alter the taste as much. Hoped this helped :)

Also what alters the colour of the cake is using egg yolk and butter as its better to have a white batter then yellow when using food colouring. Just use egg whites and shortening instead. :)
