I want to learn more about all kung fu styles, but I'm 28 years old, being more obsessed with kung fu than karate. I love martial arts

First guy did Sub Jee, Second did Gau Bo Toi, Third did Bench (obviously), fourth and last guys both did Gau Bo Toi, (a favorite?), but next to last was Say Mun (?), I'm not sure, as that particular form seems to have the most variation when it comes to different schools of Pak Mei.

I love this demo! Especially the low stances on the first kid. Well, actually on all of them. Looks like Guangzhou Bak Mei to me.

I only know very little on it, but Bak Mei is meant to be VERY powerfull, hence a more linear approach rather than circular. I have seen someone do this and it is very impressive. There are varying opinions on the Green Dragon Studio led by Sifu John Allen, but they teach a Bak Mei form that is great.

not to start a pissing match... but have you worked with Green Dragon? Before they even taught me any forms, they spent months working not only on basic stances and simple movements, but exercises for harnessing Chi. I have seen several other studios across the US that can't even tough their level of competence. (that's why I haven't joined a new studio since I left Ohio). I'm still looking, and if I find one, I'll gladly join.

GD studio teaches forms only and virtually NONE of the energies behind the external 'techniques'. IMHO their approach of collecting 'forms' and then just teaching the mere movements is just awful.

I've only just heard about this style but looking at this video it seems that it isn't that practical in terms of power and doesn't look effective if you had speed either. If anyone knows about Bak Mei I would love to learn about it.
