Bajaj Dominar 400 is finally properly in Thailand! Bajaj is not a well-known (basically it is not-known) motorcycle manufacturer in Thailand, but Dominar 400 is about to change that. This single cylinder beast of a bike shares the 373 cc engine of KTM Duke 390 and KTM 390 ADV, ensuring that this bike has some serious power! Bajaj modified the engine, giving it three spark plugs - Bajaj triple spark technology. But how does the bike fit Thailand, especially Bangkok's traffic? Hi I have dominar that bike will never let you down ,I have that bike too and CBR 600r and Kawasaki ninja zx6 but I usually use dominar its good for touring ,always love from India northeast Nagaland

This bike is armed to the teeth with high technology !!, DOHC 4 valve engine which is liquid cooled and has a 6 speed gearbox, tripple spark plug ignition for complete fuel combustion, 40 bhp and 35 nm torque, complete and comprehensive instrument console, usd front fork, gas charged rear mono shock, alluminium swing arm, perimeter frame, dual channel ABS, Slip and assist clutch and so on.....the bike does 0 to 60 kmph in 2.7 sec and 0 to 100 kmph under 8 sec ( despite being a heavy weight). Top speed of 160 kmph or a 100 mph ( ton up) , it has a very smooth and reliable engine which is very frugal as well which delivers 23 kmpl to 36 kmpl of fuel average which is not seen on 400 cc bikes and the bike comes with a standard 5 yrs or 75000 kms warranty. The bike is the cheapest amongst the 400 cc class in India costing at only rs 250,000 Indian rupee or USD 3500 only. And yes !! I am a proud owner from India.😊😊

I own this bike 2017 model ran only 5300KM, it is a very good touring bike, it is not for daily use, in traffic it is getting heated very quickly, i am 5fit 9inch height , quiet comfortable handling for me. no tip toes. nice torque, in 1st gear it can reach 30km/h easily, 2nd gear it can reach 55/60 km/h easily in 3rd you can touch 90/100km/h easily. But don't try this if you are not confident with this machine ....Ride safe be safe.

Our camera operator uses this bike daily in Bangkok traffic, with temperature regularly 29-33 degrees Celsius, and generally no problems with the bike heating too much. Probably issue with older models?

Dominar 400 engine is made of as same platform of ktm duke 390 bothe bike are made and assembled in Bajaj plant in indian all ktm bike like ktm duke 125,200,250,390 and rc125,200,390 and adventure 250,390 are also jointly design and manufactured by Bajaj and ktm
Bajaj Dominar is considered a very expensive bike in India. The highest selling bike in India is the Hero XF Deluxe, which costs just ₹49800 or USD $670. Its actually a pretty reliable bike for all Indians.

This was a fun review...You were the only i see to not complain about weight rather appreciate it...i guess weaklings will always complain even though a 350CC Royal Enfield weighs 195 and this bike weighs 186Kg

Sir, is a good quality bike? 😊👍. Is a Dominar 400 enough for touring across all Thailand including North part like Chiang Rai and mountain normal quality road and hill up? Completed 12k in my dominar ,not even a single problem occured my friend has R15 V4 he brought it after me and it's abs start malfunctioning breakpad broken lots of quality issues But dominar is still in fresh condition with this affordable price Thanks for the Bajaj for giving this fabulous machine

Currently just under 7 litres of 95 costs about 180 baht, which is roughly US 6$. 95 is what is recommended for Dominar here in Thailand.

We generally film during normal traffic conditions, not during the bad traffic hours, for obvious reasons... If you want to see Bangkok traffic at its "best", I recommend Sukhumvit Road any morning from Monday to Friday, between 07.30-09.00.

Thank you for your comment. The engine in this bike is KTM's 373 cc single-cylinder engine, also used in KTM Duke 390, KTM 390 Adventure, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401.
