I am from Karnataka and here not only electric 2 wheeler taxis are banned all the 2 wheelers taxis are banned and they have imposed road tax of flat 10% on electric vehicles which cost more than 25 lakhs…😢 they are looting people like any thing… they increased land registration fees, liquor prices etc now they have increased road tax for all vehicles as well…😢😢😢

CNG motorcycles would never succeed, First of all, it's a big safety hazard, CNG for cars or tempos are ok, because they are confined and they are not exposed, but motorcycles are exposed and any time one falls down, there would always be a chance of big explosion. Second factor is, There are not enough filling stations for CNGs, EVs are successful even without charging station, because you can charge at home or in case of any emergency, you can charge at any place with electric supply. CNG stations are sparse, and it's not easy to have CNG filling facilities, it's costly and technically challenging due to high compression involved. So, one would mostly be limited to cities that have well defined CNG infra(also, you can't carry extra CNG in a bottle or a can) at which point, why won't you use an EV, which is much cheaper, and you can actually take them out of the city and charge them at any place(in case you need it). Rajiv Bajaj hates EVs(probably second to only Mr. Toyoda of Toyota), he would do everything before he realizes EVs are here to stay and everything else is just temporary. For a long time he even suppressed Chetak, and now that Chetak is getting so much successful, he actually hates to admit it, and he is just afraid of losing his ICE motorcycle share, which is why he won't be getting in to an electric motorcycle soon and playing this CNG motorcycle game to divert attention. If only he had started developing into electric motorcycle, we would already be seeing an electric revolution in the motorcycle segment too, but I still think in future Bajaj would become a successful electric motorcycle manufacturer even with all these games and deliberate delays. But, ,they would only start it after Royal Enfield launches their electrics and becomes successful....probably after 2026.

Ola is weak in the section of its build quality and in the market like India , which is always in the construction mode , a solid build quality is a must . Both Chetak and Vida are far more better in terms of finishing and build quality .So if they make their vehicles having a good range , then ola game will be over else ola will continue to win the EV race but its retention rate of customers will not be good. I am a Ola S1 Air user , writing from experience

Hi Ev Gyan, i some info to share with you regarding Bajaj Chetak. BaggaLink dealer in Delhi is selling chetak by showing final price after discounting delhi state subsidy. And in actual case they are not applying for it. I bought chetak 50 days back and BaagaLink has not applied for state subsidy yet. For many days they gave excuse that govt website is down. Then few days back they said employee who applies state subsidy is on leave. Now they say govt is not giving subsidy. Its a scam that is going on for luring customers. I mailed on customer care id, called them multiple times but there is no answer. Can you please help me to connect with some senior responsible person from Chetak or BaggaLink. Thank you
