Bajaj Chetak was a range and city ride scooter but Ather 450X was a performance and sporty scooter this was designed as per the aerodynamic principles for more fast pickup.

How the elect. Scooter will going to perform in rainy season. What will happen if these scooters wade thro water logged roads. Are motors fitted in rear wheel of scooter water proof.

Very good question, both EV's can run in rainy days without any issue, both EV's have water waging capacity of upto 2 feet without any issue above that they will face issues, we are in process of making vdo in rain will be out soon.

Yes electric scooters are beneficial in long term to use if we compare to petrol scooters the cost of maintenance and fuel cost will be very less, performance also will not be an issue if you buy good branded EV.

It comes down to amount of usage and type of rider, for someone who has limited and occasional usage a normal scooter makes a lot of sense, for someone who has high usage then eV makes sense as there will be significant savings in terms of fuel cost and maintenance cost. It's best if you do the math based on your usage, battery life, battery range, cost for one cycle of charging and compare it with traditional petrol scooter cost for running. We need a few years before eV becomes the better option for most people. Right now it can be better option only for certain scenarios

Few Questions. 1. How do you see Chetak in comparison to Ather and Ola?. 2. Now that you are using Chetak for almost 1 year. Do you still recommend Chetak in the current market. 3. Below are answers 1. Compared to both Chetak is better in build quality. 2. yes we do recommend chetak but the price is gone quite high. 3. Please make another video on this. based on current situation what is the current price?. mainly running cost like Service charges, regular subscription and facilities in that subscription? like antitheft, towing alarm, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity etc, also build quality, weight , weight distribution, foot board space, additional guard facility, body materail- ABS, Alluminium or something else? Also, Ather is available in Mumbai but not Bajaj. rather has reduced the price but bajaj has increased the price. so there is a gap of 40K aprox.

yes battery is waterproof in both scooters. Chetak - 145mm, Ather 160 mm ground clearance. nothing will happen to battery due to big speed barker of pot hole dont worry.

What are the wear and tear part and its maintenance cost of Bajaj Scooter. Also confirm if battery is detachable and can it be changed at home socket of 5 Amp /15 Amp Socket?

Battery is not detachable you have to charge it as it is on the scooter, there are very minimal wear and tear parts in Chetak such as brake pads and tiers apart from that nothing else rest all r major parts which are covered under warranty, maintenance for Chetak is free for first 2 years so nothing to worry about.

Very good comparison...in detail.. so ather looks real nice...love it..the only thing I didn't like is Bajaj model..it's like old scooters..but Ather is like stylish but other features are Best in Bajaj..

thanks bro. currently Chetak is not available in Mumbai so can not tell the price, in regards with foot board size for both it can easily accommodate some shopping bags on footboard and on hook as well, hook as a hanging capacity of 3kg. foot board is same like activa or access but the thing is it can not accommodate gas cylinder.

Sir chetak booking started but in terms and conditions it's mentioned that price will increase to 1.46 lakh. And even after booking for current price we will have to pay that price. Or cancelation charge. This is wrong practice and at 1.46 lakh chetak becomes very expensive. 1.15 to 1.20 is okay. But what they are doing is too much.

Yes recently price is increased to 1.46k defiantly its very high what I think is govt me ke sath kuch issue ho gaya hai and subsidy shayad nahi mil rahi isliye price hike hua hai but not sure about the actual reason, whatever it could be its not good for end users or prospect buyers. Baja should do something to reduce the price.

Sir I am from Bangalore .I booked chetak in Feb 2020 .but no hope to update so cancelled booking. Then booked Ather in March, it was delivered in jun .one start up company makes fast produce of vehicle, but hamara bajaj still struggling

@@EVGURUN yes sir .my way of ride just per day 10km.when I brought Ather I am thinking that charge will be three are four days to use. But it will drain 3% to 5% every night .so I thought to take away that to my shop to market all over my near work. My Ather is giving me around one charge average 50/to 60 km per charge in ride mode & eco mode in one day use.I checked my Bescom bill of one month. 110₹ extra comes Ather mileage 500km .so I decided one charge per day Ather ride 60 km.if your ride 30 km per day it will gives 2 day of battery charge.

That's strange, we are still getting upto 90-95 km of range from our chetak as its almost gonna be 1 year old. sometimes we dont use for a week and battery does not drain that much compare to Ather.

Hi, yes you are correct I stay in Prana, good to know you are going to buy EV, chetak might take some time so if u r in hurry u can go ahead with Ather thats also a good EV. Take test drive of hero electric scooters as well then take a call

And you also forget to mention about recharge points available in pune or any other places for chetak and ather. Ather have 10 fast charging points in pune and they are working on built more. And bajaj chetak none.

Agree with you Ather has created Ather Grid not only in Pune but many other cities also, and on that station we can change other EV's as well even Electric cars as well. No doubt Ather is also a good brand and good EV what I mentioned is as per the use by aam admi how it stands against Bajaj.

How aether be a competition where it is almost more than 30% expensive?? Well the requirements of a "scooter" are very well satisfied in chetak with slightly reachable price...

Hi Mareedu, Yes we are doing great thanks a lot for asking and wishing the same for you as well, Yes the local dealer will not know about the details as off, as per Bajaj they have plan to launch Chetak all over India in steps, since Hyderabad is one of the metropolitan city it should arrive in Hyderabad after launch in Delhi and Ahmedabad, but as of it is difficult to tell you when exact it will come. if you can not wait then you can book it online and get delivery in Pune or Bangalore as they will not deliver it in your area for now. currently bookings are closed lets wait for it to get open, Bajaj has expansion plans from June 2021.

As per the last information they were suppose to open it in Feb however there are some issues going on with Govt thats the reason its closed lets hope soon booking will reopen.

So it's not possible to do to and fro journey of 100 kms in one single charge. Meaning the vehicle needs to be charged for 3-5 hrs meaning waiting for it to charge.

Hi, When you charge Chetak 100% it can cover distance of 95-100 km it depends on your driving style and driving mode used, so if you are planning a journey of 100km you might have to charge Chetak in between for 30 mints to 1 hour not more that then you can reach your destination without any issues.

U have not spoken of speed restricted in Bajaj to 60 but in ather goes to 90. Hence range in low. The seat of ather for pillion it is wider. Ather does fast charging at 80% battery in 1 hour. Ather also has disc breaks on both tyres. Better breaking. This vid is biased towards Chetak.

@Baba Yoga thanks for pointing out speed for both EV's. it was missed from our side, correction for you top speed for Chetak is 70 and not 60. seat of both scooters are comfortable for pillion, and we have already said about fast charging in Ather. Vdo is not biased dont worry if you notice I said at last that both target different customers and both are good EV scooters. But remember one thing EV's are not performance based they have different purpose so main points in any EV will be range and driving comfort so in this Chetak scores more.

@@EVGURUN Range of Ather is better than Chetak, FYI, Athers IDC range is 116 and True range is 95KM . Chetak IDC is 95 KM in eco mode in which the speed is restricted to 60KM, if you take the top speed of sport mode of 70KM then the IDC range drops to 85 KM.. true range will be 20-25% lower that means chetak in true riding scenarios will only give 60-65KM. Ather will still give you 75Km in Ride mode which is same as sport mode for Chetak. If you talk of range & comfirt you should also look at the charge times because that adds to comfort and in cities in which Ather has launched its scooter it is also giving you DC fast charge which chargers Ather upto 80% in 60 min, chetak only does fast charging upto 25% of BAT. You have spoken about the Fast charging but that was like a very small thing to consider. Also Ather is made from a space grade aluminium which makes it lighter in weight & also more rigid. This also help in beter ride dynamics ( no mention of that) where as Chetak still uses older steel modules which are more prone to rust and also cheap.. thus almost charging you same amounts and giving u lesser value ( they are making more money from people and giving them less value) Comfort also includes the nav and taking phone calls that is also a safety thing with these on the digital display people will not get into checking phone every time and also talk/check while ridding thus reducing the chance of an accident. What you said at the end is a politically correct statement & if that is the conclusion then u should have done 2 vid and not one and compared them because the audience is diff what is the point of comparing??

Agar budget hai to chetak lelo aur thoda budget tight hai to iqube donohi ev aachi hai.

I have got some positive feedback about Viertric Motors V4_Eagle and V4 MAX models. Viertric is a leading e-bike manufacturing company in Kolkata. I think they have another model under the electric scooter category. But I am happy to see a couple of other e-bike options in this video. It is always good to have choices or options.

Sir, I think this was a one sided review and I would request to read this comment as he thinks Bajaj scooter is better than Ather but you have to be the one who has to choose, Here me out first then you your self can decide which one to choose if you are planning to buy an EV scooter. Design- Chetak has a retro design while Ather has a very modern design, design is always personal preference so this is up to you. Range- You really think it is ok to claim the range of Ather to 80- 85 km just because it is shown on display and 95-100 on the chetak? In reality Ather gives a range of 90 - 110 in ECO, Chetak gives about 90 - 100, It is the same, NO THUMBS UP OR DOWN to anyone. Sports mode and Warp mode are two very different modes, In sports Ather gives range of about 70 - 80KMS, Chetak doesn't have a Warp of Hyper mode. Chetak has IDC range of 95 while Ather has a IDC range of 116KM. Display- No both doesn't provide same info on everything, Ather has an option to upload photo of RC, DL etc to the scooter itself, Ather has Google Maps, In Ather you can answer or decline calls, control music, etc. Only scooter related info like speed, range, driving mode is same as it is needed to be displayed. So Ather has a better display than Chetak. Headlight- Ather has minimalistic looks and having small DRLs and turn indicators aids in design, and size doesn't matter of indicator as both scooter's indicator does their function properly. Drive- Ather has a under footboard battery and because of this it has a bit of raised footboard in comparison to Chetak, but if you compare it to other scooters it is not really "UNCOMFORTABLE", and is surely not effecting ride quality, And in driving you did not mention seat comfort, Driving dynamics, Performance. Charging point- Ather has a charging point just below the handle bar and Chetak has it under the seat, how do you think Chetak has a better position of charging point? You will have to keep your boot open for charging, so you cannot keep anything in the boot or it will be exposed to sunlight, water, etc. Yes Ather could have implemented a lock for the charging socket but putting it in the boot is total stupidity. Charger- Yes in this I agree Chetak has a better charger in terms of carrying it, Ather's Charger is not really so much portable and has a little bit of weight to it as well. Chetak has a overall more sleek and portable charger. Under seat storage- Ather has a lot more storage in under seat storage area, Chetak has a battery below the seat so there is not much left, I like how you completely forgot to add a thumbs up to Ather for providing so much more space, and you decided to switch to the dropping of seat, Well because Chetak has a charging socket under seat hence the slow dropping seat and you compliment that, like you care more for the speed at which the seat will fall than the under seat storage it self. Seating comfort- So both the seats are really comfortable, both seats are nice, broad. Is it really a MAJOR difference if Ather chose not to give any stitching to their seat? It would mess up its modern and futuristic design. and is it really worth a THUMBS DOWN for not providing stitching in seat? Height- Yes, Ather is a bit tall in comparison to Chetak but that helps with ground clearance. Chetak is more comfortable for people with short heights , Ather is not so much comfortable they might face some issues. Stand and footrest- Yes, I agree 100% that Ather lacks in this area, It doesn't come with a Main or Centre stand and lacks a ladies footrest. This is a big problem if you are going to use this scooter everyday with your family. In the last page, Ather also has regenerative braking and has a torque of 26 NM, Ather has a 2.9KWH battery pack. You were so buyest in this review. It almost seemed like Bajaj gave you money for making this video, you forgot to mention performance, which a big or a HUGE thing to consider while choosing a vehicle. Also do you think only footboard's height matter for riding comfort? In short before coming to any conclusion I insist any buyers to watch another persons video before choosing between Ather and Bajaj. This video only had positives of Chetak and not of Ather.

Hi sir I have watched almost all your videos because I’m planning to buy Chetak. As I work from home, I pick and drop my kids to school daily and my spouse to her office on a daily basis. My kids are 8 and 4 and I live in Bangalore. My concern is can we sit all together in scooter because in morning I have to drop them at once. My daily commute is around 50 km. The main question now is my mother who is in Mysore 150 kms from my place, I have to visit her once or twice in a month, I used to travel in my petrol scooter. Suggest me how I can travel 150+ kms on highway? Please help

Daily 50KM is not issue at all. 2- If you have to travel 150KM to meet your mother then you need some planning on Chetak, before starting from home evetime you have to make sure Chetak is charged 100% so that you can cover distance at least 80KM or 90KM now what you need to do is find out some restaurants or Dhabas on the way and check with them if they can allow you to charge you can offer them money like for 3 hours charge you can offer them 20-30 rs or so or more also if they demand, for charging in restaurants you have to have 5amp socket which is used for mixers, water motor, water heater etc, so first do one survey when you are going next time to meet your mother check restaurants, shops, petrol pumps, dhabas, or any other place where you can charge Chetak, so you need only 1 charge while travelling then you can reach your destination without any issue and same you can follow while coming back. Chetak me eco mode speed par change nahi hota, ise aap manuly bhi change kar sakte hai ya fir agar aap sudden accelerator badhaoge to mode change ho jayegi. agar aap accelerator ko aaram aaram se badhaoge to 65-70 tak bhi aap eco mode chala sakte ho.

I am booked this chetak at 14 april 2021 that time his price 1.27Lack not at the delivery time bajaj increase price 25k.Now his on road in pune is 1.52 Lack there for i am cancel my booking..Shame on bajaj this is not right way for increase your scooter price.

really sorry to hear about your bad experience about Chetak EV, yes recently they increased price we are also not sure what is the reason for that, for sure Bajaj will loose many clients due to recent price hike, pls reply then which EV are u planning now. You can check Hero EV's as well.

Nothing will happen if scooter is not in use for 1 month or more only thing is battery will drain a bit like by 5-10% depending on battery condition.

Both the scooters batery details, as both batteries not detachable , I think not recommended for people living in apartments pls reply

Yes recently prices of Chetak have been increased however still it is less than Ather as Ather has subscription which Chetak do not have.

good question, double seat pe koi bhi dikkat nahi aati, gadi ki load capacity upto 200 kg hai to aap 200kg tak load leke ja sakte hai, mere sare vdo agar aap dekhoge to usme ma double seat hu aur mera pillion vdo shoot kar raha hai even ghat pe jo vdo banaya hai wo bhi double seat hai, maine bhi kirana saman wagera laya hai double seat pe kopi dikkat nahi aai bilkul bhi.

Ather have front and back disk brakes and Chetak has only front disk brake, suspension is good for both EV.

About battery life...and cost

Battery life is almost 7 years for both... cost at this moment around 45000 rs. cost will come down in future.

Range ke Baare me Galat Review ho gaya... True Range is Right but theres some important things by using it you can drive Ather upto 100KM total. All about Battery condition and Ather is slim with 103KG Weight but Chetak is 130KG weight I Have Ather450X and before that i visited to Chetak showroom... don't trust on KZread reviews just go to showrooms of both Vehicles and then decide

Omkar very well said the best thing in decision making is visit both showrooms and take test drive and then decide, one thing you mentioned very wrong Ather will never give 100km range in single charge this was confirm by the Ather showroom person as well.

@@EVGURUN Im ising Ather nowadays... yes showroom will tell you 85 true range but there's a Forum of Ather in Ather grid app where ather communuty talks about all the advantages disadvantages... When we are using Eco mode, its top speed is 50 and if we are driving on 40 50 speed then we r on top speed, it will consume more battery And suppose we are using Warp mode its top speed is 95-100 and if we are driving on 40 50 speed so it will consume less battery power. I have tested it on my scooter also abd its working, it gives you more range in less battery use

Not a single intelligent scooter shows battery temperature which is very crucial for its life..keeping it cool is very important..there is no fan for cooling ..even I advice to keep battery in a.c. room to charge if it's removable

Aare yaar!!!! The 4th mode in Ather 450x is "WARP" mode AND NOT "WRAP" mode!! "WARP" means ' to bend or to distort', "something not normal..." or simply 'insane'. "WRAP" means to encapsulate or to envelop something. The 4th mode is "WARP" because it's insanely fast... not found in other electric scooters. This mode doesn't encapsulate or envelop something. (Obviously this mode does envelop you in exhilaration... but that's something else).

Nahi battery fix hai to aap isko nikal nahi sakte, aapko parking jaha hai wahi pe charging ka 5 amp ka socket point banana padega joki koi bhi electrcian aapko banake dega.
