Жүктеу.....

Also idk if you know if someone commented but Baja designs sells the inside covers so it doesn’t flood onto the hood

they are not meant to be ditch light, they have 200 degree light spread. Baja design recommend put them in the front of car

BD has an insert that blocks that medial side when using the LP4 as a ditch light.

That was also my only complaint with the LP4s as my ditch lights is the inner side shooters but I just angled them out just enough and I love them! I got them on my 92 Chevy k1500🤘

Lp4 usually are bumper mounted or roof mounted the rigid cubes or Baja squadron are better for pillars
@texasproud33323 жыл бұрын
Rigid clearly a better solution more streamline and less obtrusive for the driver trying to look out the corner of the windshield and as an owner of a Ford f450 I need the most vision I can get to drive and park it

Definitely the lp4 👍🏻 Do the vinyl wrap mod and just cover the inside side shooters

Had the same thoughts with that light coming inside the cab. And found a video a KZread were a guy gets some vinyl makes the same shape to cover up the side lights from coming in and it did well. Check it out see what you think

Yea idk why the lp series has that connection with the squadron have a clean wire that comes out nothing is exposed

Put a piece of electrical tape or something over the inside side glass to block the inside light.

why would they put side shooters on the inside? for light across your hood? bad design no?

How did your lights hold up? Did they fog up with water? Were they really better that Rigid?

I’ve had these on three different vehicles since this video. They were great, no fogging or any issues. it’s hard to say if they are better than rigid because I’ve never had any issues with rigid either. I would say they’re both very high-quality.

What bracket you have ?
@whateverfits1978
3 жыл бұрын
It’s the Baja designs bracket they sell with the kit for the squadron and xl80s. They don’t list the brackets individually on their site, but you can email them and get them. Ran about $100 for the brackets, but I like the way they fit.

@@whateverfits1978 ok thanks i will email them , i have the squadron on sdhq but i dont like the location ,to much in my face, your seems to be more on the outside , are they easy to install ?

@@maximebeland9089 Yeah, the only thing is that you have to trim some of the plastic piece around where they mount. The plastic piece pops off and you mount to some existing bolts. When you put it back on you have to trim to accommodate the size of the bracket or the piece won't go back on properly. Just go slow with a box cutter or something and it should be fine.

Yea... wrong light for the job and placement. Let’s face it. They’re there more for looks than function. You’re not getting the full and true function and purpose using those there.

And after watching the video through that is a shit ton of good splash. White makes it worse lol. And blocking the inner side is like gimping the light. They would be way more useful up on the roof or in front as designed

Baja Designs way brighter (no comparison) but are unusable as ditch mount lights on the A pillar so the rigid are better for your use case.

That glare back into your face is god awful and blinds you while looking out. Very bad. And totally negates the purpose of having good lights.
