He is the english voice director of genshin impact. sometimes I question his choices of direction with the english voices. for example, this Baizhu voice. Baizhu’s first voice direction was definitely better. This new Baizhu voice direction is too fruity and strange.

one thing ive noticed when re-listening to him in the quest with Shenhe, his voice starts off the same way it does in his original introduction, but as he talks with the Traveler more, he starts to adopt the cadence he uses with Yanfei. he also seems to be comfortable with Yanfei, as he teases her at one point and she giggles. my theory is that his cadence and tone changes when hes comfortable with the people hes talking to! hes unfamiliar with Zhongli and the Traveler in his intro scene, so he's more reserved and formal. but he's comfortable with Yanfei and the Traveler in the second and third scenes, so he's more casual and playful

The new voice in my opinion sounds like the voice actor feels more comfortable voicing the character and adds a bit more flair and creative liberties to the voice. A bit of eccentric elegance to give it a bit of a sly, suspicious and mysterious vibe to the character while still sounding sweet like before. But that’s just me.

His new voice sounds like the same voice actor, just kind of more flamboyant... he sounds like a fashionista who doesn't find it beneath him to be snarky to people 😂 He sounds very bright and full with personality, I kind of like it.

He sounded majestic, mysterious, and gentle. He now sounds like he's a seggs offender.

I feel like he’s friends with Yanfei, which is why he takes on a more teasing tone with her. Kind of like a mentor figure, he’s amused by watching her do what she does and helping where he can. But knowing Yanfei’s independent nature, he can’t really watch over her every given moment so they just have this kind of friendship. He’s not like that with customers, because of the way they’d perceive him. I don’t know though, since I don’t have Yanfei.

His old voice was just so perfectly neutral evil and calming, new voice is mustache twirling as he talks.

Regardless of his voice direction change. I still need this man in my WangshengBubu collab team. He's the only character missing in my slot. Qiqi, Hu Tao, and Zhongli are all max ascended already. He's also the only male 5 star character I would C6. Dendro is my favorite element despite it not being out yet. The grassy type just clicked for me and I need them out NOW!! Inazuma is meh, too many samurai, ninjas, and buddhist sages, but Sumeru???! Rain forest and desert biome??! Now this, I can get into. I wonder how the character archetypes will fit in that regions. We saw a guy with an Anubis helmet and that's pretty damn cool.

I didn’t fully realise that his entire tone had sort of shifted from the first time we see him. I just noticed he was speaking faster, not taking proper pauses between sentences for example. I honestly wouldn’t mind either voice, I feel like both voices do fit him in their own ways but I would prefer if he did slow down a bit. It sounds like he’s rushing to get his words out a bit too much.

I had a feeling his voice changed, when he reappeared I was taken aback when his voice sounded. I tried to look for answers back then but no one was discussing it. Glad the KZread algorithm brought this to my recommendations.

i still missed the first voice acting of baizhu, it's very accurate and similar to the CN voice.. i'm not sure if the ENG VA just change their tone or they change completely new VA.. but i do hope once he is officially released, his voice would be the same as the first one.

I see I'm not the only one, They do sound like its the same VA. Baizhu has more of a happy bouncy tone, while Pantalone sounds deep and serious, i guess. From looks to voice, very identical, TOO identical. Its too sus. We barely know anything about Baizhu. (Warning! Spoiler!) If you have played Yelan story quest, Baizhu appear at the end and not long after he left, Yelan start talking about Regrator, which is Pantalone. My Theory, for now, since Dottore is known to have clones (maybe). He probably did it to Baizhu AND in result, Pantalone got created while Baizhu got sick from the experiment. OR its actually Baizhu or blood related? who knows. I'm excited to know more about Pantalone 😆 My theory is a mess but so far, this is my guessing! Please don't take this seriously ;-;

Hmm 🤔 tbh, I think neither of the takes are really fitting. Based on his looks and movement, I would've expected him to sound more like e.g. Kaeya. Ofc it's hard to say, since we don't really know him yet. I don't think he's a trustworthy person at all ... I thought he'd have more of a smooth kinda voice. The voice of someone who confidently withholds information, so that his motives are never quite clear. Yet again, we don't really know him yet, so these remain speculations for now.

Not to mention Hu Tao is suspicious of Baizhu on Qiqi's behalf... ffs this guy really sounds like a creep, I hope he doesn't become a playable character though I doubt he won't at this point.

@@GiGitteru considering he is the only person ingame with a dendro vision and there was some leaks about him being a mage he most likey playable

Idk if anyone realizes the voice of Baizhu was one of the devs filling in until they found someone to fill the role they just told him the tone and he went with it....he was never going to maintain the role of Baizhu

I'm glad I play with the jp voices he sounds hot af in Japanese

His new voice creeps me out 😭 thankfully I don't play with the English voices, I prefer the Korean

Just like barbara, the previous voice acting sounds WAY better, Baizhu's new voice acting feels like he's overdoing it 😅

Am I the only one who likes his new voice 😀. He sounds more playful and curious, a bit more like someone who would be nosy and in people’s business. Kind of like a gay guy at a bar who likes to gossip 😭. Some people said it creeped them out, but it brings me comfort somehow

He is somehow more sexable than any female is this game and I feel great in saying that because sometimes it takes a man to be best girl

I pointed this out to my friends when the teapot came out, I spent a good deal of time comparing the voices and just concluded that they went more flamboyant with his second appearance. Not that that's a bad thing, but it was certainly confusing xD

So I wasent imagining things.... They really did change his voice

so they made him a bit fruitier

His old voice gives quiet and wise while the new voice gives mischief and crazy medicine experiments

Old: flirty and mysterious New: *_Dramatic_** noble noises*

I didn’t even realize his voice changed

The old one sounds gentle yet blunt the new one sounds like he wants to kidnap a boy for his amuzement and pleasure

It all makes sense…childe and Baizhou were just milking the bank for money 💀💀💀
