Baguio City's Newest Tourist Attraction - Igorot Stone Kingdom | Walking Tour | 4K HDR | Philippines
Officially opened in June 2021, this is Baguio City's newest attraction!
Surrounded by tall trees, the kingdom covers a massive 6,000-square meter area. It is layered with stone walls that resemble the shape of the Banaue Rice Terraces while a castle-like building is located in front of it.
More than its eye-catching walls, the stone kingdom depicts the culture and talent of the Igorot. The attraction’s owner, Pio Velasco, led the construction of the park based on Igorot folklore.
“The whole concept is an Igorot child’s fantasy of castles, his childhood in Mountain Province, the stories about the first Igorot people, man’s belief that there is a caring God and culture of family brought out by the Igorot’s skillful hands of stone laying,” Velasco said.
Among the main attractions at the stone kingdom is a tower that depicts the fantasy story of Gatan and Bangan, an Igorot man and woman who survived the great holocaust, a fertility stone tower, and a Kabunyan (Igorot God) tower.

I lived in Baguio 2017-2018, and one of the things I loved most was the Igorot people and culture. I can't wait to come back there and visit this place. It looks awesome!

Btw, can you please check out the cherry blossoms in Atok when able in the future, Tour? I love cherry blossoms a lot, so much so that I always saw to it to live at places overseas where they are aplenty plus have a tattoo of it.

Banaue is definitely on my wish list for my channel! I've been there twice and I loved it! With the mountain ranges, the houses, the terraces, It's something you would only see in Banaue. Hopefully I could go there real sooon! Also thank you for the suggestion on the cherry blossoms in Atok. I've never even heard of it until now. This is absolutely huge. I just got home from a tour in Baguio, it is right now 11:31 PM on the night, and we have stayed for about 2 days. I did not expect this thing to be that big. My brother and sister decided to call them by each building. 1: Stone Kingdom (Cool Raid) 2: Stone Temple (haha balanced stuff go brr) 3: Cement Castle (tanklord)
This is an amazing work of art. Baguio is one of the best places to retire especially if you have lived in a cold place for long periods of years. Metro Manila is a nightmare.

Thats beautiful place to see, very unique made of limestones. I hope they fully cemented all those stones from having a landslide. That could be at least 5-10M or maybe up to 20M to develop that place due to labor and materials

Confirmation ito sakin na nasa DNA na natin specially mga Ygorot ang magtayo ng stone walls/city. So many places in the north that has Hebrew name specially the Mountains. Naobserbahan ko din sa Ygorots na they still do the chants pag may nangyaring masaya or malungkot, they also do the thanks giving rites marking the beginning of harvest which is actually a tradition of ancient Ysraelites #lostTribes

Saan ba ito banda? nag punta kami ng Baguio,pero hindi kami nakapunta dyan.
My Gf was just there yesterday !!!! lol
I'm looking for authentic igorot built structures, similar to the old Batanes stone huts.

The announcement is a bit loud. Not a peaceful and quite idea. Maybe lower the volume or have someone look around and have sufficient info for parking to eliminate calling on customers.

Because it is not historical or cultural. This is just commercial establishment that can cater to selfie tourist who dont understand the concept of a cultural heritage or significance of historical sites. They just need social media posting to brag about the little trip they loan for.

@@eduardochavacano Edyot lady boy. This is cultural. This man made park is based on the rich cultural heritage of Igorots and the different provinces in the Cordilleras. Try to resesrch vv.

itd adviced to take taxicab.. you might pay 130 pesos for fare. but taking "Tam-awan" jeepney would cost you 10, plus 300meter walk.
I wonder who owns this place...

Katamtaman po ang lamig sa hapon,pero medyo malamig din sa umaga at gabi po.

Wag muna kayong pumunta.dyan kasi walang building permits. Di pa na.inspection baka di safe.. Kung biglang lumindol ng malakas madali pa kayo. Imbis magsaya disgrasya aabutin ninyo ..

Just wondering who owns the place and or who had the idea of constructing this place, not really happy about it though, pang tourista sya, but as a local I'm not as enthusiastic to go, maybe because I feel detached to it, I'm not sure how its related to our culture, our houses are not built this way although stone walling is one craft/skill we are proud off as our rice terraces are built with it as foundation, hhhmmm, I'll give it a chance, might as well bring a friend, FLINSTONE tayo friend
