So I hope you are doing well in this monsoon. #monsoon
Now,in this monsoon many people are avoiding North Bengal as there is a red alert is in place due to the excessive amount of rainfall. #northbengal
but you know what today I will be ignoring all this and visit North Bengal for the first time in Monsoon.
How I reached here :
I took a train from Sealdah Railway Station and headed towards NJP Railway station. #sealdah #njpstation
You can also find trains from Howrah or Kolkata Station and reach either NJP or Siliguri Junction. #howrah #kolkatastation #siligurijunction
so after I reached NJP station I was welcomed by the rains and to be really honest I didn't liked the welcome as I was not expecting rain just outside the station. #rain
So after the rain got a little lighter I made my way to the auto stand and took an auto and started my little journey towards Siliguri Junction.
So after reaching Junction I took a share cab that was going towards Darjeeling and started my second part of journey towards Dilaram. #darjeeling #dilaram #kurseong
so after I reached Dilaram I took one more cab to cover a distance of only 2.5 kms but this time i took private cab and finally reached Bagora. #bagora #forest #bagoraforest #pineforest
So in short:
Sealdah to NJP
NJP to Junction
Junction to Dilaram
Dilaram to Bagora
So let's have a look where I stayed and how was it:
Homestay Name: Dicki Homestay #homestay
Number: Mob - 81457 23177
The homestay is quite good...having a total of 4 rooms and the rest are under construction.
The rooms are quite spacious and offer a stunning view from the windows and balcony. #view #balcony
But do not expect to see a cool view in monsoon as most of the time it will be cloudy.
But once the clouds floats to a different place a majestic view is waiting for you. #clouds #offbeat
Now let's come to the food - nothing much to say except absolutely delicious.
Now How I spend my first day:
It was raining all day so I had to grab an umbrella to go for a village walk. #offbeatnorthbengal #villagewalk
so here everyone is fond of farming and you can see fresh vegetables growing in the fields. #localfarmers #vegetables #cultivation
You cab see two vegetables for sure...One is cabbage and the other one is radish. #organicfarming
It is a basic thing but we cannot se this back in our home so it did attracted me.
Next I came to visit the Local Market of Bagora. #market
when I say the market don't think there are many shops here.
Here you can only find 6-8 homes and those are the markets sounds strange but true.
All the people buy all the necessary items from here only.
So after this I went to visit the Pine Forest actually there was an opening and I went to explore that. #pine #pinetree #pineforest
But due to the clouds it was hard to see even a wee bit.
Still I explored some parts of the forest.
Actually there are Cheetahs, bears and other wild animals so no point of taking risk. #wildanimals #mountains #cheetah #bears
