I checked out Bagasbas Beach in Daet Camarines Norte in December 2021. Bagasbas Beach is the Surfing Capital of the Bicol Region in the Philippines. During the time that I went, it was considered off-season and a number of typhoons had already went by. The rough waves were the result from the typhoons. Other than in-season, this place is normally busy on the weekends and nights. I filmed this video during the week, I think it was a Monday, and it was very peaceful without a lot of people. If you enjoy large crowds, I would wait until either the summer time, or the best time for surfing is from August to November. At any rate, it was nice to finally see this place. The beach always gives you the feeling of being relaxed and satisfied. ... That is just the calming sound of water, but being physically near the beach, hearing the crashing waves and feeling the cool breeze of the ocean is somehow therapeutic Watching from India country 🇮🇳

The last time I was here was almost 30 years ago. I was just a kid when I visited that place. I had fond memories of that place because I hung out with my great grandpa and my cousins there. I don't remember any surfers at all. That area of Camarines Norte is like an ancestral homeland on my Mother's side. Sadly I'm on the other side of the ocean, but I was able to travel there because of this video. The only thing missing is the fragrance of the salty sea. Thanks for showing that place. I hope to visit that place one of these days. Salamat again.

Ganda talaga ng beach

The place is lacking of people because it's in December and that place can get really cold and windy. But during the warmer months of the year specially during Easter, Bagasbas Beach gets so crowded that it's difficult to drive past the crowd specifically near the food parks.

Omg !! I really miss this place way back 20 years ago I was 9 or 10 years old was living exactly that area… but looks so different now…

I was just in Daet 2 weeks ago for the first time since 2016; stayed at Bagasbas Lighthouse Resort again. It has changed a bit. I didn't see any surfers either despite being cloudy and windy every day. There were a fair amount of people around during the day and at night. 06:15 those cottages used to be available for people to use but now have largely just fallen apart and not maintained.

I loved this as I enjoy checking out surf communities around the world. Cheers :)

Kakagaling lang namin dito. Maaliwalas ang lugar. Maganda ang place at malinis walang eyesore na mga cottages at bakod. Lahat ng establishment nasa kabilang kalsada. For me safe din sya kahit malakas ang alon mababaw naman ang dagat. Sana lahat ng beachfront kagaya nito..

They are surfing in the other spot when waves are rough in bagasabas, there are other spot in the area. San jose, P-Rocks ang others.....
