Yea, the Commodores, fantastic band, the live 7 minute version of " JUST TO BE CLOSE TO YOU " is one of my favorite and man, was Lionel SOULFUL in the 70s, WOW, but my favorite is " MIGHTY SPIRIT " I genuinely did not know a band I thought was commercial, could make one of the best soul records ever, albeit with coating of southern gospel thrown in. But after listening to their early albums, I realised they were a real 70s funk and soul group, and remind me what year " THREE TIMES A LADY " came out, lol.

Yes, an extraordinary Band with or without Lionel Richie, its hard to choose, so much great songs, my favs are painted picture, zoom, saturday night, you're special etc.... and the 82 Lp of Lionel Richie what an amazing album, still listening to it from time to time, this man is a genius !! And what do think of Confunkshun ?? ;)
@Limu013 thats fine, but I got a soft spot for ballads by UPTEMPO FUNK mega bands like BARKAYS, LAKESIDE, SKOOL BOYZ, TRAMMPS, ARCHI BELL , KLEEER, SPINNERS, ORIGINALS ect.

I love all the bands you named, also The Commodores, L.T.D, Rose Royce... and this track of Badwater Bridge is in the same category for me, that's what is very impressive, like Superior Elevation " sassy lady ", an underrated track... I'm not trying to convince anyone, it's just how I feel... ;)
yea, the intro is similar to a few BADASS SKOOL BOYZ TRACKS, " THIS FEELING MUST BE REAL " and" BEFORE YOU GO " both tracks are BETTER than the BADWATER BRIDGE track, but its still has me bouncing on the moooooooooooooooooon, bad bad bad baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
