BADLANDS 22 UNCUT - My first ULTRA CYCLING GRAVEL RACE with 780KM and 16000m+
Спорт
It was just great! During the race, I hated the track most of the time due to its brutal sections that all were challenging. It felt sometimes that a gravel bike is too hard and a full suspension mtb might have been the better choice but in the end, I loved my setup which I show here: • MY BADLANDS 2022 ULTRA...
What I enjoyed most? The night rides and the way to Almeira. Riding along the coast with the sea next to me was priceless.
Thanks to all the supporters:
@BassoBikes_HQ for the organization, my bike, and the production of the content
@AssosofSwitzerland for the clothing
@FulcrumWheels for the wheels and the support at the event
Leonardi Racing for the crankset the cassette
Sigma for the lights which helped me a lot during the night
@Oakley for the best glasses I've ever had on
@TailfinCycling for the carbon rack where I stored all my essentials
Sanitätshaus Link for my shoe inlays that gave me the right support

Thanks Bobby! Still hard to believe for myself what I did there 😄
Those drone shots (picking myself back up off the floor) - Just Wow !!! Of course, what an incredible acheivement Mike, though I'd also give serious accolades to the production team as well, super super impressive !!

I am super happy that you like it!
Super Doku, sehr informativ, ich will mehr davon 😁. Das Badlands steht auch auf meiner Liste, wenn meine Tochter etwas älter ist. Riesen Respekt das Ding in 2 Tagen durchzuballern. 🔥

Hi bin nochmal hier gelandet. Nils
Great content Mike, thanks for that. Thoughts on the sram mullet set up?

Due to the fact that I sign up for it 7 weeks before I hd not much time to prepare. This year I have 11k. Thats a bit less but due to my 13 years as a racer I dont need so much time to prepare for stuff like that (that was my first ultra race)

@@mikemono I would LOVE to hear your reflections post-race. What you did (and brought) which was ace, and what you'd change if you were to do it again. Again, well done.
Great video. I’m really shocked at the bars and lever position, that would be a real wrist killer, not great for endurance.

in the first downhill one of them moved down ... and I wasn't able to fix it during the race :-( . The position in general was set up like this to increase the reach when on the shifters. I never put my hands full around the shifters so this was matching perfectly :-)
