Looks nice, great job! I just bought one but got half way through my install and my mount wouldn’t fit it right. Got to make some adjustments. It’s the fair lead gussets in the way of the winch body, just needs some cutting.

I ran into clearance issues because I used the Barricade HD front bumper so I kind of had to force the cable without using the extension. I ran the cables to the battery from underneath the passenger side of the radiator through a small space in the body and under the air intake

Appreciate the straightforward video. Honestly, I just wanted to see what you did with the vacuum pump relocation and what you cut off. Thanks!

For the price of this unit you can get a Warn Evo 10 ... don’t misunderstand me I’m not a Warn Head .. but between the two I’d definitely go with Warn .. I have the OpenRoad Panther 2 9500 winch... 265:1 6 hp motor it pulls like a freight train ..

Hi I have a 2016 JKU hard rock with the factory front bumper. I just wanted to be sure I understand correctly. All I need is the Maximus 3 winch mount with the vacuum relocation kit and the apex badlands winch. I don’t need to do any drilling and those are the only two things I need to buy correct? Thanks in advance!

Yes, that is correct.

Reading other forums on this particular setup, I read others needed spacers to lift the winch because the handle rubbed on the bumper when engaging/disengaging. Did you run into this problem at all?

Nope, I did not use any spacers or heard of them. I have no issue whatsoever.

If Warn winch can fit, this should fit too. Yes, I do have a video on how to remove the bumper on my channel. I strongly recommend saving yourself money for other upgrades :-) This is a very good winch.

Is your bumper the Mopar Steel Bumper or is it a different brand?

What winch plate did you used I have same winch and same bumper lol idk what winch plate will work for that winch

Sorry for the late reply, this winch plate is sold by Rubitrux and its a maximus brand. On their website, the winch plate is compatible with Warn winch, but works on this winch flawlessly too.

I have a Maximus 3 brand from Rubitrux. Basically, RubiTrux sells Rubicon (factory steel bumper) specific winch and winch plates. They have many packages. If you have the same Steal bumper, make sure you get the vacuum relocation pump bracket as well.

is this on the stock JL steel bumper? I have a 2018 Rubi
