I'm 46, I have been on the job since 13, as well as my partner. It just depends on what kind of life you grew up in, whether you had to work to eat or for your family, or you got to go to school and be a normal kid.

Ethan is the prepared medic apparently. A tourniquet is a real saver to keeping that red stuff from spilling all over the place. Keep it capable of being reached by both hands. I keep mine strapped to the front area of my suspenders or the belt line. Very important. Your crew has a diverse set of tools and brands. I like the different ways they set them up for themselves. I believe a tourniquet is a great item for all to have. Coffman Construction, do you guys have a first aid or medic kit in a designated truck? Maybe a rigid backboard, an emergency plan of who the driver is, the designated hospital caller, designated medic, etc? Just wondering. Be a good video for others to learn from a safety standpoint. Thanks again, all. You all are doing great things...I'm back to drywall today.

Honestly it's mind blowing to see the kit you guys carry all the time. Somebody please get Ethan some Braces/suspenders for his belt... It's going to cut him in half all that weight on his hips... Here in the UK tool belts are really only for roofing. Otherwise a tool bag on the ground and grab as I need it. And your trade trousers (somewhat like cargo trousers with knee pad inserts) are all you carry. On site I'm known as the guy that carries alot and compared to you I carry nothing. At 23 working in the UK as a joiner/ carpenter all I carry is... -Estwing 22 oz all steel. -Fat max Stanley knife -Fat max tape -Speed square -a selection of DeWalt Driver bits P1-P3 -2 Sharpie pens -50000 pencils because they are lost all the time -note pad -cloth -cats paw -bacho wrecking knife, think part chisel part knife. Built for abuse. And that's just in my site trousers. The rest of my gear is in my tool kit to grab when needed. Because if I'm not using it before lunch then it's added weight to me. Awesome to see how it's done over the pond. Keep up the hard work.

I always love videos like this, showing off the team and the carry. I never carry a chisel, and maybe grab for one like 3 times a year unless I'm doing door hardware lol. But a scratch awl, that I use constantly! And a 1/4" pin punch, helps clear out gun jams and set down 16s for the planer

I found your channel after seeing someone else framing a floating wall system in CO and then saw your video on it. I use to run a construction company in GA. I'm now living in Australia and although I don't do as much construction I still love talking about it and watching it. Its quite different here and like the US each state can be very different too. What a superb crew. Such nice folks, at least in this video 😂😂 Hats off to your Dad for being able to handle so many young guns, and even a chick! How rare is that to have a female on a framing crew? Good for her for taking on such a tough challenge. You're making a nice channel, hopefully you'll have the success of Stud Pack or MattBangsWood.

All the things you guys carry can fit in a small light tool belt configuration. Why use massive bags

Eh, it’s alright but it’s one of the lower paying trades in the US and one of the hardest on the body. Depending on what part of the US, the elements can be brutal. In Vermont, where I live, we’ll work in -40 degrees with 4 feet of snow on the ground and we’ll work in 95 degrees with 90% humidity (no idea what those translate to in celcius, but it’s not comfortable lol) I framed exclusively for 7 years and now do full renos and customer builds, so still do a lot of framing so don’t get me wrong I love it. But it’s definitely not one of the more glamorous trades here in the states

Hey I'm a junior in highschool. Can you make good money framing. If you get into a union (in minnesota or Wisconsin). If I get my journeymans for carpentry, can I make 75,000+ with the union paying my insurance and pention and stuff. I want to do something with my hands, but I also want to be able to provide for my family and let my wife stay home. I would appreciate it if you could help me.

Hey! I don’t do union work, but in the private residential sector you definitely can. With that being said, you will ONLY make as much as you apply your mind and body. It takes hard work, and lots of effort to learn and be flexible and grow
