I literally searched "learning korean" on KZread like a week ago and your Hangeul lesson was the first video to catch my attention, so I've been working my way through your videos since! Learning and practicing with your videos is not only "easy", but it's efficient too. I can already read Hangeul a lot more fluently now than just a few days ago. I'm so thankful for the hard work you're putting into the lessons you teach us! ♥ Hope you're healthy and take care! Greetings from cold germany :)

    I thought when you are reading a sentence you always make every word aspirated in the beginning like ㄱ will have a k sound or ㅈ will have a ch sound or ㅂ would have a p sound

  • @KoreanwithMissVicky

    @KoreanwithMissVicky

    3 жыл бұрын

    That is true :) But you don't need to consciously aspirate those sound if it doesn't come natural to you or feels too uncomfortable (although that would be helpful!). Just being aware of that phenomenon itself will help you understand better when listening native speakers and why they sound that way.

    Miss Vicky, a very BIG Thank you to you for doing this. I just picked up learning Korean, and have benefited so much from your teaching. As you mentioned in your last statement, "You guys cant imagine how much effort I put in to complete this material and video it" I can totally appreciate all the effort you have put it. 감사합니다

    This is my third time watching this video. I'm not a brand new beginner, but it was still extremely helpful to watch this video. I realized I had forgotten many of these rules. So this time I used your notes and wrote down everything. It took 5 hours and 2 days to complete this lesson. But every time I was like a dry sponge and wanted so badly so soak everything up!!

    너무 감사합니다 선생님 Even though I have completed all of my lessons, (2 levels of beginner terms and 3 levels of intermediate terms about 2 years ago from now), I'm struggling with all the pronunciation rules (and other Korean language related stuffs as well and I'm still not ready to move on to pre-advance lessons) as my school didn't give such a detailed examples lesson or not much examples were provided as each lesson was very rush and I'm so glad to have come across your video explanations / lessons. This is really extremely helpful & useful! 진짜 진짜 너무 감사합니다 고생했어요 선생님! Really feeling grateful to you and appreciate all of your time and effort! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😄😁🤓

    Thank you so much for such an amazing video , this was honestly really helpful and surprisingly much easier than what I had envisioned and expected honestly , although I still have a lot of practice and revision to do of course in order to master consonant assimilation and increase my Korean fluency . A question though , where can I find that handout that you were referring to in the video ? ( it’s really organized and I want to print it out so I can study and revise from it ) . Thank you so much once again :) !!

    The reason y in English it’s so much easier to pronounce n with l is bc in english, the letter l is pronounced with the tip of your tongue touching around the same spot as the letter n, so when you connect, it becomes easier to say. It’s equivalent to in Korean where ㅇ 받침 comes before ㄱ consonant, as those two connect bc ur throat somehow touches at the same spot when pronouncing

    Your lessons are my favorite to watch. I tried to find a 하다 vs 되다 lesson on your channel, but I don't see one. If you have one, can you share the title with me? If not, it would be splendid to see one! Thank you for everything.
