"Race like a girl," Buzzfeed needs to stop using these titles that bring in all the anti-feminists. I swear, it's like they're trying to start a flame war. I believe a better title would be "The life of a motorcycle racer."

i do archery at a national level, and work in a archery shop. now and then i get the typical guy come in and when i say "do you want help with anything?" they just say its ok, but when one of my male co-workers ask them if they want help 10 seconds later they just say "im gonna need a lot of help". i just try to forget about it but you cant forget about something that constantly occurs. but then you get those people that just go with it and do want my help, the best part is when you, a 14 year old girl giving advise to a 30 year old, blows their mind when they realise how much knowledge you have, then when they find out you shoot for australia they ask you 100 questions. you would probably think they say no because i am young, well there was a 12 year old boy i shoot with on the australian team who came in and worked for the day, he had customers coming up to him and asking for help, i have always had to go up to someone and ask if they want help. i really enjoy these types of videos, it encourages me to see people like kristeen show men that we can be just as good, even better. thank you buzzfeed, and kristeen!

maddie Boyle Thank you!!!! Bravo for your incredible accomplishments 👏👏👏👏 Proud of you that you continue to pursue your passion despite any BS 👍 I understand!! I'll do some control riding, on occasion, at a track day (usually in the morning so I can work on my own stuff in the afternoon) & for the first session of the day; for the beginner group; everyone must line up behind a control rider (like a track coach, but not nearly as in depth as a coach - a CR just helps newbies learn basic lines/proper track etiquette/safe entry/exit/etc)... I'm usually the only female CR & NOT ONE rider will line up behind me for sighting laps!! Ha ha ha ha ha I'm usually riding my street bike - because I'll utilize the mirrors & kick stand while helping others. Once I pull my race bike out of the trailer & start spinning laps; the attitudes change 180 deg! Ha ha ha ha None of it matters though. Focus only on your own program, your own progress & don't worry if anyone asks for your help. Your results will speak for you. If your job performance is measured on how many people you help or sales you make while in that store; may I suggest trying a different approach - introduce yourself as an employee (or whatever your official duties are) & start by asking them questions. Engage them in conversation; ask them what their goals are or trouble spots - then your experience & expertise may have a chance to shine through 👍 Thank you for watching!! Best of luck!

Dude, Skill level or success isn't determined based gender, race, age ect. on. Skill and success is obtained from determination as well as faith in what you can do and who you are without listening to what anybody has to say about you, or what you want to do.Lets take a Man and Women. Both want to be basketball players. Who do you think will be the most successful? Well, one person might say " oh, no doubt it will be the man. Men have a history of being much more successful in sports than woman." And another person might say "i think that it will be the woman will be most successful. Women a lighter on their feet so it is likely that she will be the most skilled." But to truly find out the answer you have to ask the real question. "Which one of them wants it the most?"

Hey people. My Name is Lily Spear and I'm a 17 year old female motorcyclist. I have always wanted to ride motorcycles even though no one in my family rides, and it dangerous. People are constantly warning me about the dangers of riding and how 17 year old girls just don't ride, which is weird because here I am, riding my heart out. When I got my license at the DMV in 2014 the people working on my paper work we walking around to all they're co-workers whispering to each other and pointing at me. The lady who worked on the paper work even said she had never seen a girl my age getting a motorcycle license, ever. I'm just happy that women like me are getting involved in the things that they love and that videos like this are getting made. Motorcycle riding is fantastic and some day I hope I can race with the best of the best.

FANTASTIC JOB Lily 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Always chase your dreams!!!! So many of my friends tried to discourage me from racing a liter bike. NGL, I was nervous (for the first time since my first race). Seeing my name smack in the middle of the grid sheet, surrounded by men on 1000cc bikes; I felt like a bunny in a wolf den. For the first few years, I was the only girl in California racing a liter bike. While I was disappointed every one close to me tried to discourage me from racing the bike & in that class; I just felt better on a thousand than a 600 & I wanted to give it a shot while I was still in the Novice class. I just felt like the riding style needed for a liter bike fit my natural riding style better. I always thought the liter bike class was filled with dudes with the biggest egos & that I would be pushed off track for something bc they'd be so pissed about a girl being in their class. Turns out it was just the opposite! It's like a 'gentlemen's' class in which there's no bar banging; there's no disrespecting other riders. I'm proud of myself for following my heart & going for it despite the naysayers. Turns out riding a liter bike fit my style & I had more success on my 2006 R1 than I ever did on a 600!! I'm proud of you for getting your license & riding your heart out despite the looks or the talking; in the end; all that matters is that YOU'RE having FUN!!!!! 🏍️🤘

One thing I'm not understanding after scrolling through the comment sections here is; Why would any man that has an issue with women being able to ride motorcycles, click on a video (about women riding motorcycles)? Look at it this way; if men can cook and sew (which many of them do) then sure as hell any woman can ride a motorcycle. I'm going into my 7th season as a female motorcycle rider. Good to see there are more admirable comments rather than hateful ones on here. Videos like this are a true inspiration. :)

Why would us meninists be raging, we don't want a women to have less rights, but we don't want them to have more either. Or have the crazy double standards women have, but lets not get into that. If I own a business and need to hire a new worker, I'm going to hire the one that is the best fit to do the job. If it is a man, awesome. If it is a women, freaking amazing. If it is a smurf, hell yeah. Tell me, how are men suppose to respect feminism, if feminist wont respect males? I don't want to start and argument, but if you have a question or comment please ask or say something, just make it civil.

Randompandaattackingacake Are you stupid or something? BuzzFeed makes countless videos about women's problems and none about men's problems. It would be nice if they at least acknowledged men have the same problems, but they don't, and never will. Feminism literally implies women are unequal in every way, shape, and form. That simply isn't true. The word literally comes from the Italian word for woman; "femina". Definitions can be deceiving.

I think it's hard for a lot of guys to understand those conflicting dynamics. Respecting a woman for her career and economic success, while at the same time taking care of her emotionally and treating her like a girl. I think women are taught this and are better at this from a younger age because of societal expectations. I believe it can be taught/learned by men, and should be more intentionally.

This honestly inspired me so much; I'm so passionate for physics, engineering etc. I'm really hoping to study Motorsport engineering at uni in the next 3-4 years or so; but I still love cosmetics, dresses and other typically girls things. I'm sick of people telling me to "just pick one or the other" 😪

I'm a girl that race bikes. I am 15 years old and I started with dirt bikes. One of the obstacles I had to come over was the fact that I'm a girl. But now, there are more girls than guys in the Junior racing team in Norway! I started with a Kawasaki Ninja 250r. But I used it up pretty quickly and started looking at other bikes. I tried KTM rc 390, Kawasaki zx3r and the Yamaha R3. I'm now one of the fastest girls on the junior team. And I ended 2nd in the Norwegian Junior Standard 250 cup...

no one is saying women cant race (well some really really stupid people are, but the vast majority don't) there is no women only racing group at all, infact racing is the only sport that does not gender classify anyone can be a racecar driver, it takes passion, training and skill, not balls. well it does take balls, but in the figurative sense, not the literal one.

My grandfather and my father have a race car and they race in New Hampshire. Im 12 years old and we are working on getting me a junior dragster. Racing is my life, and you've inspired me to express that more often.

got my first dirt bike, just waiting for a few fix ups and i accidentally stumbled across this vid on a bf marathon.i started off being generally impressed and full of admiration for her but started fangirling when i saw we both have scorpion helmets! i feel like its real...like i'm actually going to do this!! even though my fam are making jokes about me riding (my bro and dad and his bros are riders) it's so important to me. i spent 5 years watching on the sidelines and i want to not only prove myself but to be good at it bc i really want to. i don't want to impress anyone, i just want to enjoy it and be supported for it. even though they say they'll be selling the bike after a few runs when i get tired of it, daddy still got me it and i really appreciate that sacrifice and want to make him and my bro proud of me. it's hard liking 'boy' sports bc when i fall and i will get bruises and scrapes etc it will automatically be a turn off to guys, i know, and guys still want delicate little flowers and i'm just not. yes i want to be pretty but can't i have fun AND try to be pretty too?idk, i know alot of comments are negative but she's an inspiration to me now. two 5th places?like wow. i'm so proud of her and hope she finds someone who appreciates her and loves and supports her regardless. when i get on my bike i will think of krystyna, my helmet buddy woman handling another kind of bike and try my best to make her proud too!

And you'll definitely be a great example for many girls out there who want to do "boyish" sports and hobbies but are drawn back by people who are telling them they can't because they are girls. I've struggled with the same problem. I wanted to play rugby but my passion was misunderstood. In the end I stood up for myself and played rugby like hell ;) I felt strong and fierce and also found an adorable and really understanding boyfriend. I'm sure every girl can do this and maybe make a big change in sport's history. ❤

Seriously people, women on bikes are rare, that's all. I know they can, I'm only 17 therefore don't ride one yet but I've been around bikes for my whole life and I know many female riders. But still, men are more popular in this sport. No need to attack me, I am not a feminazi, trust me. I don't know where you even got that from...

  • @123florus

Kaya TheKitty Of course they are rare but that is normal because a lot of women just aren't interested in these kind of things and not because men are keeping them from it.

I've loved motor racing all my life and did karting. There was me and one other girl, but it all to do if your interested in something. Many of my friends think it's weird that I religiously watch superbike, moto gp and formula 1, not because I am a girl but because of the way I act; I wear dresses, bake, very in fashion, did ballet and all the typical 'girlie' things, but there's just something about motors and speed that I have always loved.

Every other buzzfeed video starring a woman is all about "omg men are so misogynistic"... but this woman proves herself and says that she's just like the men. she doesn't say I hate when men do this and that, she doesn't ask loudly in a crowded workroom for a tampon, etc... I love motorcycles, like doing construction and lifting heavy things. I do many things guys do, sometimes better and faster. i get put down a lot, people say I'm stupid or too weak, until I prove them wrong. I do things that guys do for the same reason that they do it. It feels good or it makes money. Sometimes I get treated differently, or they try to put me on an "easier job". Something that a "girl" would do. People will try to put you in "your place", or where they think you belong. I know exactly where I belong, what I am capable of, and what my limits are. And I think riding a motorcycle is amazing. I just hope guys don't think I am their competition.
