Nice reaction guys! Yeah, it's one of those real rare times where she had to wear shoes probably due to the venue's own rules/policies. There might have been a slight safety concern as well. As someone whose family who owned a restaurant for many years, there really isn't any state or federal laws against someone being bare foot in a restaurant or cafe. None. Those who may be saying this, it is not true. The last time she had to wear shoes was when she attended the Le Bal in Paris, France as a Debutante and performer. Le Bal is one of the most prestigious balls in the world and she had to follow the rules of the venue and event. After her appearance with Toby here at the Jesse and Friends event in L.A., they both went to The Other Songs Event at the London Palladium where she sang If I Were A Boy and she was bare foot. As for the song Bad Valentine? HOLY COW! This is a great song and Angelina sang the heck out of it! With more original music on the way from them, we fans cannot wait! Oh, by the way, Angelina has a song that will be used for the NETFLIX movie called A Family Affair starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King. Le Bal was also not a public performance, but she was singing there for her peers. Same as a couple days earlier at Mathias Sorum's birthday party. In these cases she also did not dress up in particular for the performance, just like she did not here here.

Who is the bad Valentine? Every good story is about development of the characters, preferably with a twist or realization on the way. While in the beginning it sounds like Angelina as the protagonist is cold and bad, we find out as we listen that it is not the case. She wants passion, fire and honesty. He is insincere and self absorbed - not really listening to her. If all passion is lost on his world, who is the bad Valentine? Gary

Exactly. The song has two parts: first, she admits to behaving badly and is almost apologetic; but later, she explains the reasons behind it. The song portrays a passionate woman who wanted a genuine relationship with a man she hoped would be her equal. However, all he sees is an idealized version of herself, twisting her actions to fit his romantic fantasy. This causes her to push back and behave badly, trying to break his illusion and initiate a genuine relationship, but she fails and it only makes her feel worse about herself. She struggles to show him her true self, but he remains stuck in fantasy, making excuses and pretending everything is fine. She feel increasingly bad about her behaviour and eventually she realising they are a total mismatch, literally walks away. At least she learns from the experience and admits she behaved badly. In real life, the guy would likely see himself as a victim, feel sorry for himself, and totally fail to learn anything from the experience, repeating the pattern with the next girl he meets.

I don't like bad valentine. It makes Angelina seem mean . She's too nice to act mean ? Toby messed up on this song. If I were a boy was not the greatest song but it had facts about the difference between men and women's obligations in life and double standards I can understand that. But this is just down right mean . My first Angelina song I didn't like . I knew it would happen some day ? Everybody's saying what a great song writer Toby is " Greatest thing since sliced bread " Not on this one . Back to the drawing boards Toby !
