What Happens When You Cross an Engineer with an Artist?
Easy - you get Spook. A vintage steel restoration guru with a passion for paint, Spook dreamed of Airkooled Kustoms long before opening the shop in Hazel Green in 2004.
The mastermind behind the proprietary processes that yield darkside dubs that Volkswagen and Porsche enthusiasts drool over, Spook doesn’t do anything halfway.
Ask him about buying a classic air-cooled vehicle made by Airkooled Kustoms, and you’ll probably be surprised to hear him advise against it.
See, the process is long, it’s expensive, and it requires a level of commitment few would-be buyers possess.
The process is not cheap. It is not for the faint of heart. If you CAN settle for anything other than driving an Airkooled Kustoms Classic Volkswagen or Porsche, you should. If settling is simply impossible, you should contact us and get your dream car onto the always-full production schedule.

You're welcome!
Spider webs in there look like that one scene in spiderman, where he tried stopping the train. The spiders where trying to stop that wheel from shacking their house apart 😭🤣
You've got a case of mechanics thumb! 😂

Looks like someone hit the wrong nail 😏
So was it a bad outer or inner tie rod? Is it true that outer tie rods should wear out before the inner tie rods? And inner tie rods rarely go bad? I took my Pilot to the shop n they said 1 of my inner tie rod was bad, it would be a 6 hour job! Like no way that would take 6 hours. I think theyre just trying to F me over. They said my other tie rods are good. Weird right? Or no

So, outers do wear out faster than inners. Inners do go bad, but not as frequently. The shop was quoting book rate, and likely included an alignment.

6 hours?!? It takes at most 15 minutes to replace a tie rod
I have a mk6 gti has vibration over 65m/h i checked on tires/wheels alignment new shocks and end links, can a tie rod be the cause?

Yes - or a ball joint.

@@AirkooledKustoms have new ball joints and wheel bearings too, so must likely to be the tie rod, i hear a squeaking noise coming from front passenger side Thanks for the reply

@@jcaru1642 might want to look at the strut mounts or the struts themselves , I have seen, on Supers , a squeaking coming from where the springs attach to the spring mount with no isolaters , ( metal on metal )

Hmmm, might want to seek a second mechanic's opinion.
Bad or just loose?
@AirkooledKustoms
Жыл бұрын
It was bad, but if it's loose it could have the same symptoms.
