9:56 John Higgins telling the referee that he didn't hit the ball is 1 of the things I really enjoy about Snooker. The gentlemanship the players are showing.

That's how it should be in any sport and in any thing in life. What is the point of winning by cheating
@FogToo
4 жыл бұрын
@@SnookerPlanet It definitely should be, but take a look at football and there seems to be a trend for players to take a dive. It's a hollow win, but for some, I guess the money incentive does make it easier for some to cheat.

I feel empathy for these players, it must be gutting to make a rookie mistake when you need to be playing your best. Impressive sportsmanship in snooker when they call their own fouls, even when the referee didn't see them.

It's always Hawkins. You know, he's an awesome player but utterly terrible! How does that work ha?

Often players that aren't classically the best potters like Hawkins are good at anticipating what happens if they miss, and can avoid leaving table clearing opportunities against their opponents.

I do like how Hawkins often laughs at his own mistakes or misfortunes, or even his flukes. Comes across as a likeable guy.
3:04 thought that was penny wise from the first movie, freaked me out😂
Was rooting for barry once ronnie and trump were out. Williams winning was awesome too but barry played amazing
please do a compilation for 2019 wsc
2:27 - I thought I was the only one that did that. 😇

is it because of chalk mainly???? can overuse of chalk end up miscueing?

The outro is classic. Keep up the good work ✌🏼
Can someone explain what a miscue or no chalk means
10:54 'well, you dont see that very often.' Also, sees that quite often
the new chalk sent the championship into a tailspin :D
this's the common for me. Each frame, I can make the missed cue so many times.
I thought the thunbnail waa clickbait. Its wasnt. Im happy now

What is the standard size of a snooker cue tip?
@ernoeskeli1139
6 жыл бұрын
Shannon Ekren There is no standard size for a snooker cue tip but generally it varies between 8 and 10 millimeters. I'd suggest not go under 9 millimeters because it's not necessary. A small tip makes it easier to get spin on but with a bigger tip it's easier to cue straight.
@Chaswitdacatfishmouf
6 жыл бұрын
Erno Eskeli thanks for the info. I shoot a 13mm. (Not snooker) don't seem to miscue often but sometimes come up short in the spin department.
@Mitjitsu
6 жыл бұрын
9.8mm is close to ideal for snooker.
@ernoeskeli1139
6 жыл бұрын
Mitjitsu There is absolutely no "ideal" tip size but usually anything around 9,5 mm will do for most amateurs and beginners. Pro players might use a tip close to 8 millimeters but not very often
So chalk is to Snooker what tires are for F1?

Probably the tip is closer to the tires in F1. But if you have bad or not enough chalk, it is like driving on slicks in the rain.

shallowlord what's the difference between the new and the old one?
@chrislawrence4237
6 жыл бұрын
Billy - The new chalk is literally about 100x more expensive (is roughly £18 per chalk). The new chalk is supposed to reduce/eliminate kicks... dont know how successful it is but most pros do use it
@trugamer2488

It clearly doesn’t work.. why fix what’s not broken? Games been played for years and kicks and miscues are part of it.
@meschuggemil
6 жыл бұрын
As someone who plays with the new choke, I can confirm that it does (massively) improve the quality of the game. Far less kicks, no chalk marks on the table (which is hugely important for clubs) and overall a better grip on the cue ball. Yes, it's more expensive, but it's not used as fast as the old chalks, so the price is fine. Half of the players in this video who miscued are using the old chalk, so how is it (as Steve Davis said for example) "inferior"?
@Mitjitsu
6 жыл бұрын
Unless you're a pro or a strong club player. The new considerably more expensive chalk won't make any difference to your game.
personally, i have not seen so many miscues in a single tournament ever. I don't know and not sure but i think it comes to the chalk
@meschuggemil

Half of the players in this championship who miscued (Ding, Brecel, O'Sullivan, Trump, Allen, maybe Perry and Stevens) are using the old chalk, so how is the new chalk (as Steve Davis said for example) "inferior"? It's far better, read my comment above.

Is the new chalk the the circular green chalk?
@Rooopertful
6 жыл бұрын
Some people claim the Taom has less grip, because they just haven't embedded to the tip correctly. You can't just start using it in top of a regular chalk and mix them two. This will result in very little grip.
@essaabbas3382
6 жыл бұрын
Rooopertful That’s what I’m using now. It’s a pretty good Chalk. The only thing I noticed is that after a while from using it, the core of the Chalk seems very compressed so it doesn’t give much Chalk on the tip. So I have to look at my tip every time I chalk just to make sure there’s enough powder on it
Im a hardcore and biggest - out of this world, tremendus 2millionx1 trillion (think you get the idea by now :D..) fan of Neil Roberston, however I`m starting to like Kyren wilson as well.. Such huge talent from this young chap! A real gentleman in snooker! (:
