I know this isn't a widely held sentiment among BR fans, but I never realized how much Bobby Schayer contributed this band until after he was gone. His is by far my favorite era of theirs. Such an incredibly talented, underrated drummer.

Yeah, he did it just right. The way he played simply fit the songs, but he could do way more if necessary

BOBBY SCHAYER and the album STRANGER THAN FICTION made me fall in love with BAD RELIGION and buy my drums kit right before founding my first band. THANK YOU, BOBBY. Abraços de Fortaleza / BRASIL.

One of the best albums ever made imo. Timeless!
Sweet!! I miss Bobby, he got me into one of BR gigs back in 1995 when it sold out. Love that album too!

Yeah, I felt his drumming style when he was in his prime (before the shoulder injury) suited their music best next to Pete.

Brian’s first job: can you yell “fend for yourself” over and over? Ok good
I remember watching this when it originally aired. That took me back.
What a killer song.
One of my favorite songs of theirs.. Thanks for this!
I miss Bobby Schayer man. Fave ✊️
Fuck, This is such a rad performance by them. My favorite lineup of Bad Religion, Post-Non-Performing-Brett. Saw them on this tour with Unwritten Law and Dance Hall Crashers. Awesome night.
It's like Bobby Schayer had chops or something!

@@Altri82that’s bullshit. They were sloppy as hell for a lot of Bobby’s era. I love Bobby’s drumming but Brooks was absolutely the shot in the arm the band desperately needed
Met them at a show in Santa Cruz. Really cool guys. Was talking to Bobby and he was talking about how the drumming was starting to take its toll on his body.
Damn, how did you find such a high quality version of this? All the other ones I've seen were VHS-rip garbage lol. Thanks for uploading! =D

This is the way of the modern world
fucking awesome!
Every time you shake someone's hand and it feels like your best friend, Could it be that it's only superficiality?, Without regard to well-being, without an inkling of compromise, Handshakes are nothing but a subtle "fuck you", Contracts determine the best friendships This is the way of the modern world, everyone's vying for patronage, This is the way of the modern world, and something has gotta give Every time you shake someone's hand, And you share neither color or creed, You gotta overcome the obstacles of history, There is restrained passion, mistrust, and bigotry And these have created the new foundations of society, There's no harmony just class and race This is the way of the modern world, Everyone's fighting for dominance, This is the way of the modern world, And something has gotta give Now I believe in unity, and I am willing to compromise, But I'm not gonna lie or sell my soul Every time you shake someone's hand, It determines where you stand, And if you won't uphold your side then it's better to Fend for yourself, and shun the handshake, Someone's gotta give

Rotator cuff injury and he didn’t want surgery. Plus he was burned out mentally and just wasn’t loving it anymore. Bowed out on good terms. Just read this in the new 2020 book, “Do What You Want: The Story of Bad Religion.” Great read!

It was the show that popularized music videos in the early 80s. Non-stop music (mostly new wave, then later “alt rock” and grunge) 24/7! I used to watch it religiously for new things to get into, pre-internet.
