Bad Omens - Like A Villain - Noah Sebastian VOCAL ANALYSIS (How To Sing & Scream Like)

Музыка

Free Voice Lessons: chrisliepe.com/free-your-voice/
My Website: chrisliepe.com
Noah Sebastian is one of my favorite vocalists out there right now. Bad Omens is one of my favorite bands right now too! ...And this song... WOW. It hits so hard and has incredible 'clawing at my back' moments. The intensity, space and vulnerability in the vocal performance is unmatched in modern hard music in my opinion.
Noah is incredibly fun to listen to and even more fun to analyze as we try things out with our own voices. Let's enjoy this song together and see what we can learn!

The fact that he actually sounds so desperate and hopeless while singing the "I'll be holding on" line, adds so much to the character he's building throughout the entire song, it's brilliant in every way

Noah Sebastian is even better live than he is on the records. I saw Bad Omens on March 1st as part of the Underoath tour, and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by Noah Sebastian. He was easily the best performer of the night. I was really hoping you’d do one of these videos with him

I love how Noah preforms this song live. When he says “I think you’ve overstayed you’re welcome in so go the fuck away, don’t come again.” He screams the go the fuck away and it adds that emotion to the song. I feel like Noah is such a wonderful performer and I can’t wait to see them live. Also the live version of dethrone change my whole out look on Noah he is only getting better and it would be wild if he re recorded some of the older stuff with his new vocal techniques. So much love.

I always considered noah to be a countertenor because of his range 🤔 but his falsetto is crazy in this song and the control he has and the ability to flip registers and switch between the fry scream and cleans are absolutely epic! And i love hownyebimcotoerates the cries as he sings and uses certain wirds and tones to make that trampoline affect into ither words and tones. Im helplessly in love with his vocal ability and agility

I saw them on Feb 23rd in Pheonix. I was there to see Spiritbox, but they were right before and I was absolutely BLOW AWAY on how he uses his falsetto. He sings in such a nice range that I can replicate really well, and it feels like its harder to find singers that actually use their falsetto well and uniquely like Noah does. Thanks for analyzing this!

Can't think of any other male singer in this genre that uses vibrato and not mane female singers either. It definitely adds emotion behind the words and makes his voice memorable. Also can't think of many who master totally opposite singing styles so well and make it seem so effortless and easy.

His voice is the closest to my vocal range (along with brad Arnold of 3dd) and im literally obsessed with singing bad omen songs bc i feel confident in my voice when i sing their songs, minus the screams and growl ugh i wish so bad i could do his screaming parts without hurting my voice

Thanks so much for this reaction! You hit all the points I needed help with and illuminated new things for me to consider. You and Noah make it sound so effortless. For requests, Nothing But Thieves since you mention them. Also Winston McCall from Parkway Drive since you recently did your vid on Architect's Impermanence. Winston's aggressive vocals is a goal for me

Noah's light and thin voice reminds me the guy who sings an anime song "Unravel"

Love Bad Omens and I’d love it even more if you analyzed some Sleep Token songs. Their vocalist is the most unique I’ve heard in years 💯
