Perfect the only thing I found different when learning by ear was the higher notes during the breakdown I think are on the low A to keep that low tone during the bend of the thicker string.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm using Ibanez Axion Label RGD71ALMS with 10-74 strings in this cover.

0:40 why do modern metalcore only use 1 top string for the rhythm part of the choruses?

Just need a simple progression to let the catchy vocal melody shine, and one string has a nice gritty sound to it, which is the style right now. Djenty low tuned guitars.
